Reading between the lines and what he said about wanting Ayew here I think you can remove Gomis from the red zone.

On paper the squad is looking really good and strong but we still have to see how different combinations play together. We have beaten every supposedly stronger teams than us so looking strong on paper dont mean a thing, It's how we play and how comfortable the new guys fit in. I'm very excited about this season and im positive monk will get his team up and running quickly, Nothing is certain yet i know as a strong looking side cant win on paper and it's on the pitch that counts.....Bring on the champions i say and lets see what we have got....
Palace still sniffing around Ash...... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...alace-club-agree-fee-Paris-Saint-Germain.html
Only to get that taken away when relegated, anyway he is on mega bucks already and i cant see cash strapped palace offering him more tbh.
3 more weeks to get rid of michu yet that amounts to another £120,000 so i dont think he is in any hurry.....He will sign for a club on the last day if he really dont want to be forced back and his agent has probably all ready set it up.......
We must have signed one of the unluckiest players ever on loan from you a while back. Alex Bray who played I think a total of 11 minutes before knackering his knee ligaments. I know he had surgery sometime ago but haven't heard anything of the lad since. Can I ask what has happened with him. Is he back playing again? I was going to ask if he was still with you at all but see from the list above he is.
Hey greeny, The lad made his comeback this week for the U-21s. It sounds like he still has it all to do to prove that this hasn't finished his promising young career....and he was very promising IMO; Bray speaks of "relief" after injury return image: http://www.swanseacity.net/cms_images/600521193dp038-arsenal-v-sw-copy58-2915797_478x359.JPG please log in to view this image PUBLISHED 07:00 23rd January 2016 . . . as winger returns after 15 month lay-off Swansea City winger Alex Bray returned to action with Swansea City Under-21s on Friday afternoon after a 15 month injury lay-off. The 20-year-old came off the bench to replace Ryan Hedges and played 28 minutes as the development squad drew 0-0 with Arsenal in Premier League Division Two. Bray has not played since suffering anterior knee ligament damage ten minutes into his Football League debut whilst on loan at League Two side Plymouth in September 2014. A recurrence of the same injury in March last year left the young Swan working with the club’s medical staff for an entire season. image: http://www.swanseacity.net/cms_images/bray-injury58-1903975.jpg please log in to view this image “I am buzzing, it is good to be back,” he said. “It was such a relief to get out on the pitch and play my first league game for the Under-21s in over a year-and-a-half. “I was not nervous before the game, I have worked hard off the field to get myself fit and ready, and felt I had done as much as I could to prepare but I felt it went really well. “I did not think about my knee at all, despite two bad injuries I feel I am back to normal. “I just want to move on from those injuries now, push on and start to play more games this season. “The plan now is to kick on, get more game time, fight for a starting place in the Under-21s and make 2016 my year.”
Thank you for the info Terror ball. I really felt for the lad when it happened and am pleased to hear he is at least on his way back now. It was nobodies fault that day just one of those **** things that happen in life. Probably one of the shortest cameos we have ever had in Plymouth. I just hope he realises the promise he showed and you think he had. Thanks again

Yeah, a useful HG squad member costs a lot more than £500k. A bad decision I reckon....if it was our decision, for all I know maybe it was Jazz who wanted away to prove himself. Best scenario for us is if he had accepted being our utility defender (For me a well balanced squad has 2 players for every position + 3 utility men, 1 a defender, 1 a midfielder, 1 an attacker) and got his first team football by being loaned out....with a recall clause stuck in there for us. Who knows if this is something he would have considered or even if it was possible but all I know is that we are starting to look thin on HG players and transferring them in tends to cost big bucks.
