I went to see Wellington Phoenix play Central Coast Mariners, on Saturday. (the Nix lost 3-1 
). In the A league teams are encouraged to play one home game somewhere in their region away from their normal home. Consequently people came wearing the shirts of various teams they 'support'. Anyway, I spotted a young girl wearing a Watford shirt. Her dad comes from St Albans. She said that she had seen another Watford shirt. It pleased me, anyway, though her friend rolled her eyes when I said I was a Hornet.

Morning all from an overcast Jersey. I'm at the airport waiting for a flight to Gatwick then on to Prague this evening. I'm coming back on Friday evening, so probably won't be back on the forum until Saturday.

Morning all, somewhat grey here again, but very mild indeed. Needed to speak to my neighbour about getting my fosse emptied as the first company I e-mailed have not replied. She was not surprised I had not heard from them as she thinks they provide a poor service and are also expensive. She gave me the telephone number of the one she now uses who are keen to do a good job for you. Having conducted that bit of business with her, she then went into turbo mode with her French. Managed to get most of what she said, but must have had a blank expression on my face some of the time. You can ask her to slow down a bit, which she does for a couple of sentences, but then it is back to full speed. 
Spoke to man about doing the job for me and by then the ear was tuned in, so I understood him and he understood me.

Morning all from a very windy but very mild day in Bandit Country - looks like it will be non-stop football for the next couple of months.

Our neighbour La Dame of the village talks so france to us we barely get a look in.. and we have to compare notes afterwards to see what we have gleaned! ... and often very different..

Good Morning all from a grey, damp but very mild rural France. What a shame that I couldn't go to my French class today as I am waiting for a phone call from the man who will empty my fosse. After yesterday's transfers must now turn thoughts towards tomorrow night. No sign of Mex yet. Maybe he is still on the beach.

Morning all from a breezy and damp West West London - I wonder when these storms will end? Storm Gertie on it's way next.
How was Cadiz? Always wanted to visit there but didn´t have enough time when in Sevilla to get down to the coast.
Got a few transfers to catch up on, what´s the deal with loaning them to Granada?
