So Boro have failed to agree terms with Rhodes, who on earth does he think he is? Lionel bloody Messi? <doh>
Strange one that. Also, I'm surprised no Prem sides were interested. Would have though he'd be a decent option for a Villa/Norwich/Sunderland/WBA

I'd be annoyed if we went for him, he's nothing but a goal-hanger leaving you to play with a ten man team who have to lay it on a plate for him to score. Very lazy footballer!

Some interesting ties in the 5th round of the FA Cup.

Some of the big clubs will be eliminated!!! <ok>

Obviously we all want Shrewsbury to win however unlikely it would be, but if Shrewsbury choose money over glory and switch the tie to Old Trafford I hope the get humiliated 18-0 !

I REALLY hope they don't switch it and that they DO win!!! <ok>

Breaking news!!

Man City manager to leave at the end of the season, and the club have said that Pep will take over in the summer!!

Massive news for the Premier League.

That'll cheese of the red half of the city - I know a couple of United supporters who are season ticket holders and both were keen to get Guardiola in to replace LVG. Looks like Jose will be the choice at Old Trafford now then.

Like his other clubs. They have the depth of world class players, massive financial resources, and the pull to bring big players in. This could be the end of title races for a few seasons, and the first English Club to win the Champions League for a while maybe?

I think in the great argument about which is the best league in the world, it's the record of managers that really show how tough it is - Mourniho's "failure" in La Liga was finishing second, in the PL he left a team nearly in the relegation zone.

Pep's been gifted the best team in the league at every club he's been to. He will probably get that in the PL with Man City, and a virtually limitless transfer budget. But I still think it will be a real test of his skill as a manager because nowhere will the competition be stiffer.
