It's funny about you gran and football because mine played rugby apparently as I heard she was a hooker.

Newcastle have now made a £21 million bid for Berahino. Can't see Gomis leaving now <wah>

Not sure WBA will sell to a rival as they are still in this relegation battle as well, But 21m is a lot of money for a half tidy player. Will he want to go there when he knows in the summer, the likelihood is bigger and better clubs will come in for him.

True. NU are also taking a huge gamble, financially. Go down, and they're in big, big trouble financially given the money they are spending.

I totally agree. In the summer many were saying how this is our strongest ever squad etc etc, with Tabanou becoming first choice blah de blah. There is a tendency by some to go way overboard with their expectations before a player has even kicked a ball in a match for us.

Mate I am excited by this signing and really hope he is the real deal not hat any of us have anything to base that on because none of us had heard of him and none of us have seen him play, I guarantee someone will have looked at you tube and they don't show the crap bits on there. But you what some are like on here, he is going to be the best thing ever then after a couple of games of not scoring he is suddenly sh1te.

Except for last summer , we've been accustomed to transferring well. The only person I remember saying this is our strongest squad ever is Monk .Of course , he also said the team was full of spirit when we won 1 in 13 , right up till 13 . I think there might be a big difference between a Monk/Jenkins transfer than a Guido or Laudrup one .

Some won't be happy unless we break the bank for Messi or Ronaldo .Guido has a history of transferring well to keep trouble teams going ....that's good enough for me .

First rule never sell to your rivals mid way through the season as it could come back and haunt you, If you are going to sell then wait until the season is over.....If they really want the player then they will come back in the summer....

Although in a relegation spot now , Newcastle will be nowhere near come seasons end imo .Got no probs selling to Newcastle if the money deems it frugal .

WBA have ruled out selling him. I think the Gomis, Berahino, Gayle saga will go down to the final hours tomorrow.
