I think this is one of the best midfield in the Championship, we should dominate the midfield battle with any team.

    Adam Lallana
    Morgan Schneiderlin
    Jack Cork
    Guilherme do Prado
    Alex Chamberlain
    Dean Hammond
    Richard Chaplow
    Steve De Ridder
    Lee Holmes
    James Ward-Prowse.

    the best midfield

    --------cork-----Hammond----
    de Ridder-----lallana------Chamberlain

but Schneiderlin should be but Hammond captain

but how would you set the midfield out?

Pretty sure Adkins wil go 4-4-2 but that midfield does look good.

    Cork Schneiderlin
    De Ridder Lallana Chamberlain

I think that is our strongest midfield, however Hammond hasn't done anything to deserve being dropped. And being captain, I dont think that Adkins will drop him, so I reckon you can put Hammond in place of Schneiderlin.

    Cork Schneiderlin
    Lallana Guly Chamberlain

Nobody here has any idea how good De Ridder is, can we please not jump the gun?

Realistically, while it seems we have a good midfield, there are a lot of great players in the Championship. Take West Ham's midfield for example:

    Kevin Nolan
    Matthew Taylor
    Scott Parker
    Jack Collison
    Mark Noble
    Gary O'Neil
    Luis Boa Morte

    Don't get too carried away...

If they keep this midfield.. They should easily win the league.. But they could lose parker... collison and others due to wage bills and injurys so who knows

From Youtube videos, where you can make Lee Trundle look like Pele. And even so it's the Dutch league, where with the greatest respect, Afonso Alves scored over a goal a game. And why is it safe to assume he'll be starting?

I like the 4-3-3 with Lallana / Chamberlain pushed forward. A centre mid of Schneiderlin, Hammond and Cork is very strong. However, NA will mix and amtch depedning on who we are playing and home or away. It's great that we have the flexibility.

Agree about De Ridder. Hopefully he's better than Marc Overmars, but we haven't got a scooby doo yet.

    Chambo Deano Cork Lallana

I'm not sure if I like the idea of Lambert being a lone striker. I feel he needs somebody to play off him at the very least, somebody like Guly.

But then we'll have no width, and with a wealth of good wingers, I really think we should utilise the wide areas.

Is that not setting the bar a little bit too high for the lad?

ok, but say if chambo running down the wing lallana can come inside to support lambert, because we know lallana can score with his feet and his head, and chambo can do the same.
