Just responding to the suggestion that Mario is more likely to win a game for us. I don't like to focus on individuals in this way, tbh- it's a team game. Having said that- Benny would thrive in the right set-up, whereas if there is a right set-up for Mario, it doesn't seem to have found him yet.

Fernandinho, Douglas, Willian. All Brazilians, all played for shak. Tex has shown more than Willian did. Tex will move to the prem, he will be good and he won't be playing for us. Not worth £50m, but 24 is insulting of us. Especially after the reputation we have build ourselves of paying over 30 mil on ****e (Benteke, Carroll...) and over 20 mill on bang average players.
Benteke is very lazy. Just as lazy if not more than Mario. Don't forget - Mario looked lazy in a Rodgers team. Benteke looks lazy in a Klopp team - man who demands more running than most. Either way - both aren't good enough but both are capable of moments of magic. I would prefer Mario but only because he has more ability with the ball at his feet and would be a slightly better (very marginal) fit for the team than Benteke. They aren't right for the club - need to sign someone.

I'd have tekkers over Balotelli any day, balotelli is one of the most over rated lazy nutcases in world football if not the most. Balotelli over benteke, ya need to give ya heads a shake.

Flanno's got a brain. Players with a brain tend to improve with age, just like Carragher did for us. Not the most skilled, but consistent as others mentioned and reads the game. I would say that the mental side of defending is far more important than the technical. The links to Hernandez are interesting tbh. Saw his goals from this season so far and he looks idea, far more than just a penalty box poacher. He makes good runs off the shoulder and is pretty clinical in taking chances. Him running onto the through balls from Coutinho and Firmino with Ibe providing width could be deadly. He's got a knack of being in the right place at the right time too for knock ins - which is precisely what we don't have. We're way up the league with regards to chances created and way down the bottom on chances taken. We just need a finisher.
