Murray lost 1st set...because he lost the very first game. Without prejudging the final result, Murray can be a slow starter...let's see if Raonic can keep it up.
Just wondered where my dog had gone and found him stuck in the utility room as the kitten was blocking the doorway. Not so fierce now
h Was watching a programme on TV where this couple had 2 badly behaved aggressive English bulldogs....they also had a parrot who walked and sat where he liked and the dogs backed off. As the Dog Whisperer said, the parrot acts like he is in charge, so the dogs believe him. I actually used this technique with a friends badly behaved dog...I stood up and took one step towards him...he went and sat in the corner. He looked at me as if to say: You only had to ask. I suspect with your kitten the dog has learnt that he isn't to touch....in other words the kitten belongs to you...so he's decided best not to do anything in case he is in the wrong.
Apart from a couple of players, most fold eventually when playing Murray....they can't keep it up...Roanic is playing this cool. Can see him winning, though never say never with Murray. Needs to improve his first serve.
I have no idea how well or badly they are playing because Australia outrageously decided to be in a completely different time zone and I'm at work. I just keep checking for updates.
Not a lot in it, like a game where one goal decides it. Not many players can do this to Murray....Roanic has improved greatly. Roanic off for treatment.
Just 2 days ago, I was driving through our village and a woman was launched into the road as she tried to control her dog while dragging it away from another dog on the pavement. She tried to cross the road but the dog was too powerful and she couldn't move it an inch to start. I saw it happening as I approached, so thankfully slowed right down and stopped. She then gave the dog an almighty yank on its lead and eventually moved it across the road. When she got half way, the dog turned back the other way and she fell over in the middle of the road. Good job I had stopped as she had no strength or control over the dog. The lady and child with the Dalmatian on the pavement looked pretty scared. It was a Rottweiler and huge.
Can't control a large dog with your strength....all in the mind and prevention of a situation developing.
Still could go any way, but Murray levels at 2 sets all. Murray (unlike some other British players) doesn't give up...if you are beating him and he is down, you'd better make damn sure he is dead.
I almost stopped watching when Murray lost the third, glad I didn't. Raonic has almost folded now, seems he has borrowed a groin strain off Gastòn.
Loved the post-match interview with Jim Courier, the best bit was when he asked Andy if he is ready to be a father in a couple of weeks. He giggled nervously and said he'd read a few books. Seems a bit more daunted about fatherhood than he does about playing Djokovic yet again, which I guess is the correct response.
Well done Murray!! I'm not holding out too much hope he'll beat Djokovic but at least if you're in the final you've got a chance of winning it!
I haven't played the video but looks like the suspect is black - you'd think police in the US would have learned by now...
I'm going to have to find the men's final online on Sunday as the BBC aren't showing the finals live for the first time in years unless they decide to change plans with Andy in the final.
