i had erased Carroll from memory, he doesn't exist <ok>

    benteke will be next <laugh>

funny isnt it 2 world class players in torres and suarez cost a lot less than 2 turds in carroll and benteke, whats the ****ing world coming to lol.

  4. Well we could also say a world class team (Liverpool in 1987-89) cost less than Balotelli #perspective

The Torres and Suarez fee's are more in liking to signing someone for about £40m nowadays.

PS...I'd prefer Balotelli to go before Benteke!

so as usual we go for the cheaper options, get what you pay for i suppose ****e,!

i would rather ballo than either of carroll or benteke personally, yes he is a lazy ****er and yes he has the mind of a child, but unlike the other 2 he can win a game by himself for you.

  6. I couldn't disagree more, Balotelli would be my last pick from that trio. He can only win a game if all four quarters of the universe click together at the right exact moment; ie its got to be on a plate for him because he's certainly not going to earn it. The scary thing is, Carroll would possibly be my first pick <yikes>

What we can agree on is it's not good enough. None of that trio are good enough for Liverpool, not one of them! Yet, that trio cost us a combined £83,500,000!

the player with the second highest appearances or flanagan?

The reality is as much a si agree with your desire to see this effort they are ALL spoilt brats with oodels of cash and none of them are bothered and thats the world over.

What made carraghers career was work and ability to read the game. he found what he was good and, kept it simple, worked like a dog at it and there you go.

Look at john terry now.. lets say ok he's what he is and we don't like him but he's extended his career way past where it should have been cos he can read a game and make interceptions.

    Jon flanagan has 3 assets.

    1. Desire driving work rate

    2. He's an eternal optimist (as klopp said he's never down) so he surived 2 year sof injury

    3. defensive minded. He'd tackle a brick wall. he loves it.

All all that up and sure he might not be the fastest, he might not be the most skillful but he can go a long way to being the guy that organizes the team and makes defending look easy.

There's no co-incidence that dalglish plucked him and not others out and gave hi ma go. Why... cos dalglish is old school and he recognized the next carragher.

So he could go a few ways.

    1. Carragher or finnan type full back... on the edge of being replaced but working at it.

    2. Stephen Warnock. 3 broken legs, didn't make it but made a good long career elsewhere.

    3. Stephen darby. lower leagues

We cannot ignore however.... there is a big value
you must be the latest hacked cos you must be smoking something if you think balotelli can do much of anything.

all carroll needs is a keeper to kick it long and a guy to run off him to win games.

kind of like joe allen did v arsenal <whistle>

    Balotelli is a hider.

He's not the complete striker, but can certainly score. I would happily have him, might be a little pricey though

    we got the kid too.

I think the link to matip is tenuous. i think we've not even agreed a precontract so as a result i fancy he's not ready to agree anything at all...

I thin the teixteria link was one tried on cos cheslea are not positioned to move but its just not on. they want far too much money.

after that the rest have been looking like made up.

To be fair to Shaktar, Tex is their star man after losing Willian, Henri Ryan & Douglas Costa in recent years (Costa going to Bayern for "only" 35m). They said they are happy to sell in summer but don't want to lose him mid season while competing for the league and EL.

    Fair shout there end really.

So what the hell made us think £24m would seal the deal? And flying Ayre out to Florida to present our offer!

Has it dawned on the club that Benteke is our only striker for the rest of the season?
