Burnley 2 penalties in the space of 5 minutes - one Shackell with a hand ball. I see Brighton have had a couple of wins again as well in their last 2 games..
Derby look to have pressed the self destruct button again, since the turn of the year. Burnley 4-1 Derby Derby 0-3 Birmingham Derby 1-1 Reading Middlesbrough 2-0 Derby and only just scraped through in the cup away at Hartlepool
Bit of a funny one. The Player Joe Kinnear watched at Rangers, and said "He's very good, we should look at signing him!" only to be told it was Shane Ferguson, on loan from his own club Newcastle. Has moved to Millwall in league 1 on a permanent! He really was a useless article wasn't he, that Kinnear!
We're pretty comfortable in mid-table on this chart! I thought Klose had cost less than £9.1 m? please log in to view this image
For those unaware, there's a Turkish actress, Nihal Candan who on twitter uses the hash tag #ncfc, which - as I'm sure you've gathered, is a tad confusing. New York Canaries@NYCanaries Problem is easy to solve. @NorwichCityFC just need to sign Nihal Candan. #NCFC #SignHerUp
I think those sums are total rising including add-ons. I had heard the initial up front fee (i.e. the max we would pay if injured and never played for us, we might actually have handed over less if payment is in installments) is about £7.5m in both cases. Obviously the selling club likes to make it sound as big as possible, which is why York City talked about Godfrey deal getting them £1m, when actually they apparently only got £150k, but it could rise to £1m (e.g. if he appears for our first team). We had a similar discussion (actually, I'm ashamed to admit, it turned into a rather petty argument) about Brady's fee in the summer, which was "£7m". Mind you, given how he has played I've very little doubt Brady's total fee will be £7m.
That ball crossed in by Raheem Sterling for de Bruyne to score was a foot out of play when he wrapped his foot around it With the vast amounts of money in the game, **** like that should have been eradicated by technology by now.
Useless officials again!!!! Arnautovic was offside for Stoke's goal last night and now the ball was out before Sterling crossed for De Bruyne to level for Citeh!!!! Edit - Sorry Cromer - didn't see your post.
Some good news filched from the BBC Gossip pages - "League Two Carlisle United, whose Brunton Park ground was badly hit by floods in December, will have a 17,392-capacity crowd for Sunday's FA Cup fourth-round tie with Everton after selling every ticket."
As usual, the "big team" and the money, gets the officials call, and gift them a spot in the final, and pretty much gift them the cup. Football is getting ruined by this, but it wont change.
Leicester are making some big moves this transfer window. Apparently now looking to sign Ahmed Musa, who would be a fantastic signing, and really fit their counter attacking game with his pace and dribbling.
