Yeah definitely. Just amazes me that we haven't had the frenzy of posters from other forums getting outraged about it as they did about our 3rd goal last week. <laugh>
Think that was cos
1) it affect the match with everton...whereas yesterday's non penalty made no difference
And
2) everyone ****ing hates chelsea so couldn't give a **** <laugh>

You're quite rattled aren't you?

It's quite amusing the emotion you take from that is rattled. You've created a thread moaning that more people aren't moaning about a penalty you should have got which wouldn't have affected the game. It's original if nothing else.

Just pointing out that people would have reacted differently if the penalty decision was at the other end. What is it about that that riles you so much?

Maybe if you keep saying it it will come true.

Maybe, as has been pointed out, incidents which wouldn't have changed games just don't merit much reaction. If, say, Treble had created a thread complaining that more people weren't complaining about United not getting a penalty after winning 1-0 at City, I reckon you'd find such paranoia amusing too.

Paranoia? Ha, priceless. I didn't say that I wanted people to complain, I just said that it's funny that nothing has been said about it. <laugh>

I didn't think it was a penalty at first. After watching replays I can see how it could be one and also why no foul could be also given. Anybody who has played has suffered from or even used a shoulder charge because it is legal. There are however several parameters within which the shoulder charge has to fall and therefore it is a judgement call by the ref.

(aka “Fair Charging”). A type of “tackle” which can be legally used to try to “win” (i.e., gain possession of) the ball. To be legal, it: (a) cannot take place from behind (b) is only permitted within playing distance (i.e., 3 feet) of the ball (c) cannot be violent or dangerous (d) must be intended to win the ball & not just to knock down the opponent (e) must be shoulder to shoulder (not to the opponents chest or back) with the arms (especially elbows) close to the body (f) the player must have at least one foot on the ground (i.e., he can’t leap).

Where I think Cesc should of had a penalty is because Kolchelny didn't go on to win the ball, it was collected by another defender. Kolchelny pulled up and stopped, arms up bent at the elbows showing he didn't push with his hands. He also came from the rear although you could argue that at speed the ref may have just saw the moment of contact an thought it was from around about the side. It was strong, but far from violent.

So yes a penalty, but not a clear one.

Just a little later Matic was booked for an identical challenge and a free-kick given. If that challenge is in the area, then a defo pen IMO.

I seem remember that it was foul with an obstructing arm by Matic, he got beat and he knew there would be a run on goal albeit with Zouma and JT still in position. Matic swung his arm out to block the chest, he wasn't running and was on the turn and knew he didn't have time to complete it. Mikel had done something similar earlier.

Still, great result eh?

Yep, he got booked for a needless barge into the back of Oscar (I think), it was a snide thing to do, probably his way of showing he is hard.
yes he got booked, but it was Willian who he stepped on and pushed with his arm as well.
