Antii was definately at the same game I was yesterday http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/41815/
Yes, hard to disagree with any of that (particularly the bit about Karl Henry - his apologists won't like that).
I like anti's knee jerks, they are usually well thought out and give a balanced view..... His take on the central midfield are reasonable and identifies that a lot of the problem is down to the trio of hoilett, Philips and fer not doing their defensive duties.......if you look at the wolves goal Henry make 2 tackles 30odd yards from goal, only him and luongo are goal side against 3 or 4 wolves midfielders plus their strikers, in other words they were out numbered. I don't know if anyone watched the Brentford/burnley game last week but if you did you would have seen that most of the time the Burnley midfield 4 were no more than 10 yards away from their back 4 when defending as they defend as a unit....we do not..... It's all well and good criticising a particular player but there is only so much they can do when the supposed midfield 5 only defends as a midfield 2........ BTW for those on here who think that I'm an apologist for Henry I'm not but it is unjust to make him a scapegoat for things when others are equally culpable.
Henry was not that bad yesterday. The whole midfield were dire 2nd half. We should have finished with mackie , Faurlin and Washington on the pitch.
Yep, I agree with all of Antti's comments. It's a very fair and balanced article. For me, the substitutions were key. After an hour, it was obvious that we had lost our way but JFH was way, way too slow to react and got it wrong. Henry had gone AWOL and, despite some nice touches, Luongo was a peripheral figure. Polter had faded, doubtless knackered after an energetic and productive first half. I would have brought on Faurlin and Washington after 65 minutes. We were crying out for Faurlin's control and creativity in the middle. He can do the defensive bit and has a fine range of passing. To bring on Washington, it would have been a close call but I would have taken off the tiring Polter rather than Hoilett because the latter was still being effective. Chery was the wrong choice. I think he is too much like Fer, albeit more energetic, and I would rarely have the pair of them on the field at the same time.
