This isn't even a good Chelsea performance, competent but they haven't had to stretch themselves. Their hesitance to push on for a 2nd shows how lacking in confidence they are.

Thing is, even when Merte was on the pitch, we didn't look threatening or up for it so the other 10 players can hardly use it as an excuse.

Gutted I didn't throw a tenner on this, Arsenal - Chelsea is almost always easy money.

 

It's these kind of moments when you question the championship mentality of the team. I know it was a tricky game but Chelsea are one of the worst inform teams around and we've made it an easy day for Chelsea. Poor performance and mental strength shown by the players.

 

Anyone who has been happy with Arsenal in the last few months and with our record against Chelsea is not a true Arsenal fan. No spirit. No bottle. Absolutely shocking.

That was ****e. As I said at HT we can't even use the sending off as an excuse, we were terrible all over the pitch, in every department. Very very poor today and a big chance missed.

 

We are just whingers. Despite the fact we see this EVERY season, we are just ungrateful spoilt fans. Expecting Arsenal to put up a fight is too much. Expecting Arsenal to score against Chelsea in the league (which we haven't done so in years) is being unrealistic.
