First half Onouha skilfully stopped a certain goal from inside the six yard box after an attack started when I cant remember who... ****ed up.

Should also remember this is a team who sold Afobe last week and their most creative player Graham is now out for the season

Surely it was Karl Henry as he gets blamed for everything......<doh>

Not ridiculous at all mate. The guy has one fcuking job to do and he couldn't do it. It's ridiculous that some think the guy is above criticism.

Are you typing that whilst keeping a straight face? "Above criticism"?
The guy is completely slaughtered, when he's surrounded by a mixture of laziness and ineptitude.
It was a freak goal. He was the only one attempting to press. He got no help from anyone.

Phillips and Konchesky were easily much, much worse than him today. Why not mention them?

4 million ****ing quid for Austin. What a disgraceful bargain!! He is a goal machine!!

So it seems is OBZ these days (and Polter with less style).

Perhaps van Gaal will make a note in that big book of his that he could have snapped up Charlie at a bargain price!

Charlie wouldn't go there, too far North plus he wanted to go to a side that is established and one that wants to entertain.......:emoticon-0100-smile

It took Charlie Austin just seven minutes & 43 seconds after coming on as a substitute to score on his debut for Southampton.

Southampton goalscorer Charlie Austin: "It does not get any better than that.

"It was my second touch, It was a case of right place right time. To get my debut goal I am delighted. I am happy for the lads they put in a great effort before I came on. They defended superbly from back to front. Our back five were superb.

"Our aim is a top 10 finish, get to where we did last season, that is three wins on the bounce and hopefully the run will continue."

'Like the parting of the Red Sea'

"It was as though they said let's all leave him and let him put it in the net. You can't believe what you see. It was like the parting of the Red Sea, they left him to head the ball."

(Garth Crooks - Former Spurs striker on Final Score)

Charlie Austin's magic...

Charlie Austin is an instant Southampton hero. James Ward-Prowse whips in a wonderful cross and Austin is left unmarked to head into the bottom corner.

Cue all sorts of wild celebrations.

And, for United fans, anger. It's happening again.

Anything but a straight face. Try one of these <grr> :emoticon-0183-swear :emoticon-0121-angry :headbang: :steam: . Some are trying to defend the indefensible.

Sorry but yet again Henry not to blame for goal ... Closed a gap left by Fer who was drifting

Bloody big gaps went he went off

I would of not played him because we need to force the game But we also need to get tight we let our defence get opened we look fragile as we did at start of the season

Hull top what did I say ?
Burnley will follow them

We can still put a run together but anyone on here think we are a team yet is miles off

This is it, rock bottom. I was watching on the telly as my wife went out. On her return she asked if we had won. On hearing the result, her words were "At least they didn't lose" with a concerned look on her face.

She's moved from amusement and contempt at our struggles to pity and fear for my mental well being. I think I preferred being laughed at.

Mr QPRBeth said the same thing.

Even worse before I went he WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL said...is it going to be the same as usual... you score ...they score....you come home grumpy.

Yes he is right.

On Henry, you can't fault the guy's effort but he just can't do it any more. If you're going to offer nothing offensively you have to be bloody good defensively and he just doesn't have the strength or mobility to do that role, IMO. Considering we are all about pressing now, it again looks ludicrous to loan out Doughty.

Fer absolutely has to **** off. Lazy and not particularly good. I don't care if Gladwin isn't ready- he'd offer more. Yun certainly would. Is he alive?

Completely agree about Fer.
He's not suited to the formation we tried to play today. Very open.
