Carlo is confirmed to be Bayern's next manager so that has sailed I'm afraid. Don't get me wrong, I like Guus and he's a steady pair of hands. Just worries me a little when you have an ageing manager on his last pay day. Is he really going to have the hunger etc that a Jose did in 2004 for instance.
Well that remains to be seen, thats why I think if we fail to land our managerial targets and Guus does well this season, then we could do worse than offer him another year or two on his contract....
I agree, but as you say, there will be targets first and foremost I imagine. Certainly Pep, maybe Simeone, possibly 1 or 2 others. If we have Guus at the start of next season, certainly won't be a bad thing.
Southampton boss Ronald Koeman, 52, wants a reference from interim Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink, 69, to help him become the next permanent boss at Stamford Bridge. (Mirror) Oh, dear! Never mind, though, lads. It could be worse - you could get Mourhino in charge!
I think he's done a great job at Saints personally. Especially when you consider how his squad has been raided.
Anyone should be good as long as we clear out the dead wood. Look at Ivan's perf today after that 1 year contract. Shame!!
