My youngest put her first music choice on the jukie last night. Two by Joni Mitchell, one by Steely Dan and two by Neil Young. #wellbroughtup #likefatherlikedaughter
Joni Mitchell is so good that Emma Thompson's character in Love Actually is a big fan of hers. Alan Rickman gets her a Joni Mitchell CD for Christmas. She's upset about it though, because she'd already seen him buy a necklace. That was for Heike Makatsch though. Poor Emma.
She did a cover of John Majors "Big Yellow Taxi" (pave paradise) before he was born and it's even worse than his. She's a really bad folk singer with a high pitched squeaky voice that is always off key from the 70s. I know she had a couple of other minor hits but I always immediately thumbs down her songs on Pandora when she comes on... Or I change channels if I'm listening to satellite radio.
