    Afternoon guys,

Does anyone think Malky rates Naylor as he has played the lion share of games so far ?

Its a huge worry personally as he could cost us again!!! Reports on todays game he had a shocker !!!

Sounds like Naylor came up against a decent winger today so possibly Malky will now have rumbled that he's pretty useless. It is a worry that he has started games so far, as we know it could al happen again. He cost us points last year, but Malky is coming to it all without that background knowledge.

I could have told Malky that Feeney is a good winger. Looks and plays like Aaron Lennon but not quite so skillful. Celtic went easy on Naylor but the Cherries had obviously done their homework. Get rid of him Malky!!!

You say that MM is coming to it all without background knowledge, you may be right....but at CCS last season when we played Watford, well it looked like MM had identified Naylor as a weak link and he was being targeted, I'd like to think that MM has decided to give every player a chance and to get rid of any preconcieved notions, but surely it won't take him long to suss out Naylor, although he did well against Celtic IMO, but lets face it, he's not up to it<ok>

I'm hoping the fact that Quinn is injured (ill) ties up SuperKev as cover, and Conway is injured which pushed Taylor into midfield opening a gap for Naylor to fill. Once everyone is back to fitness surely Taylor will drop back and Naylor drop out???....we live in hope.

We'd still need cover though - so I hope to God he's not keeping him as a spare LB...

I hope he is only being used as cover, just hes been used too much already this year and last, i dont normally wish ill on a player and i am sure naylor is a nice bloke but i hope if he plays against Yeovil and Parma he has a stinker!!!!!.

MM did say he wanted cover for all positions so you may have a point there MB.

I think this may be a case of giving him enough rope, once he has made a complete shambles of it he will be moved on, out on loan and sold off in January.
Of course if he puts in some sterling appearances then it might be difficult to get rid of him so easily.

I think he is going to give every player the opportunity off a fresh start. If Naylor plays like he did last season I am sure he will be moved on.
If he takes his chance and proves himself then fair play and I will get behind him like any other player.

That last one however is a big IF!!!!

Naylor cost us big time last season.

Watford and Wurzels away - dreadful.

Lets hope Malky sees how bad he is and PLEASE do not play him this season. Send him out on loan to the Liability Stadium :)

Apart from his mistakes he does ok. Perhaps Malkay is trying to improve him. It is a pity he does not frighten the other side as much as he frightens the fans.

His mistakes more often than not cost us goals, any half decent winger and there are quite a few in the championship will do the same again this year and just drift past him with ease. Hopefully malky is not as stubbon as jones and will put him in the reserves.

Thats the problem. Too many mistakes. Malky would have seen him at his worst as Milford mentioned so if he thinks he can improve him then fair enough but for cover at best imo. From what I saw v Celtic and brief highlights from Bournemouth, he did what he had to do but was under no real pressure. Somebody like an inform Burke for Brum would relish the chance to play against him.

Didn't someone say the Cherries winger gave him a tough time yesterday and he's a Div. 1 player?

I read the same thing somewhere (on here I think?) but the highlights on player didn't show much of him.
Good to see the whole squad and MM go across to the bluebirds at the end though :)

I really don't care how well he plays in these friendlies, nothing personal, just not good enough and has had plenty of chances last season to prove his worth if he was.
