Did rodgers destroy himself? Bascially bilic came to anfield and showed how to defend. we could not lay a glove on them.. thats european football and showing why bilic is a decent manager
yes he should get in but he may find the jump to prem hard to make mid season... he may fly... who knows
I'll watch with interest. I asked about him on the Leeds board last week and the feedback was largely poor, they said Warnock had broken him and he was a ****e defender, might have been bitterness like.
yes actually.. the one where we "earned" a penalty late and badontelly demanded to take it (rightly) the one where ibe got a stupid tackle tout of aplayer late on then the one where besiktas beat us 1-0 at their place and lovern missed the pen. In short they set out to defend and easily dealt with our lot... ok so we wer and stil lare totally ****e but still. YOu can see the same solidity in the prem where west ham's counter attack style suits the league to the ground.
The one where we won the first leg 1-0, should have put the tie to bed in the first half of the second leg with several chances that weren't taken before Besiktas then took control after the break? The one where they won on penalties having not led at any stage of the match before that? It was an even tie overall. You can claim that Bilic got the better of Rodgers in the end - after all, Liverpool had no real answers toward the end of the second leg - but absolutely destroyed is going much too far.
Markovic in the dark over the future Lazar Markovic has admitted he’s in the dark about his future at Anfield. The Serbian winger is currently concentrating on winning a championship with Fenerbahce, where he is on loan, but he says he’s not sure about what the future holds for him. please log in to view this image “I’m trying to do my best. I came here for the championship”, he told Lig TV. “Currently I am focused on that goal. What happens at the end of the season, we will see. I’m not sure everyone agrees, but, for me, there’s something in Markovic, and I’d like to see him given the chance to make the grade at Anfield. What do you think? from Echo. 85% of responders voted he should stay. for me his words don't inspire one iota of confidence. rumoured to be asking to get him back... obviously not given he's talking about their championship. he's set the world alight down there too. 12 league games, no goals, not sure about assists It is an interview with turkish TV... so he can't go disrespect his lan club by talking up lfc... but his words suggest nobody at anfield has been on the phone to him so far.
According to Goal.com, so it must be true, he's become a key player for them, albeit with no goals and two assists. http://www.goal.com/de/news/968/transfernews/2016/01/18/19472722/fernerbahce-leihspieler-markovic-ich-bin-ein-Liverpool
thanks for that one... thanks to chrome for translating as follows For 25 million euros changed Lazar Markovic 2014 Benfica Lisbon to Liverpool. In his debut season at Anfield but he remained the fans guilty, why the club put so much money on the outside right on the table. Per Loan Markovic is now trying his luck in Turkey at Fenerbahce and know there quite convincing. Even a return to Liverpool is in the room. "As you know, I'm a Liverpool player. As long as I'm here, I play, however, as a Fenerbahce player. I'm going to pass in every game and every training session my best. What happens at the end of the season I can not say yet . We have to wait and see what happens, "he said after the 3: 0 win over Eskisehirspor at Lig TV. In the current season is Markovic has developed the Turkish giants for performers, remained so far without scoring (two assists).
Yeah, the last bit is what I quoted. "Developed the Turkish giants for performers" is perhaps a better Translation than "become a key player for them".
Does he play RWB for them too? I dunno... some guys seem to sulk, some seem to keep laughing and look like they don't take it seriously. I don't know where this lads sits. he seemed un happy to me and didn't do well preseason .I think rodgers shafted him on euopa squad and shoved him out but in the end... he's not really a winger is he? most interviews given since seem to indicate zero desire to get back here and prove a point. http://www.thisisanfield.com/2015/12/i-could-say-at-fenerbahce-admits-lazar-markovic/ There could be a point where frankly the club have already decided something here. with all the players we have firmino, markovic, lallana, ibe, milner... like it or not they all fill a right side forward area... this is why I liked that camel description ofa horse designed by committee. What do we do here? Take him back for preseason and see i suppose.
The good thing is that, from the sounds of it, he is at least actually getting games and performing (if not getting goals). That should hopefully be doing at least something for his development. If he continues to perform then we talk to him at the end of the season and either he stays here to continue that or we sell him for a hopefully decent price.
No that was the ref who though a flick in the face while running away with the ball was a straight red
probably could have sold him for 10mil last summer... now its prob 6..... I don't know what its doing for his development.... someone who's an avid follower of Turkish football would have to tell us.
ermmmmm that was the season before. he'd got one? game left of that suspension and thats no reason to leave out of europa squad. Mignolet, Bogdan, Clyne, Gomez, Toure, Lovren, Moreno, Sakho, Skrtel, Lucas, Henderson, Milner, Can, Allen, Coutinho, Lallana, Firmino, Origi, Ings, Sturridge, Benteke As we only had 21 slots not 25. and markoivc, a 20million player was not eligible for the b list as he was not at club for 2 years and neither was origi..... If we'd kept ward he coudl have played in bogdan's slot. who else could be dropped out of this squad.... toure?
Watched a few of his games and he's performed well. He's exactly what we need - pacy, fits into the attacking trio and dribbles.
yes i bet he did. along with every game in germany and spain... while he does his day job too... he's a hero that lad.
