http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 Queens Park Rangers have made a £3million offer for Peterborough United striker Conor Washington. The 23-year-old has been given permission to speak to the Loftus Road club who have moved quickly to try and replace Charlie Austin who was sold to Southampton at the weekend for £4m. Reading had been in talks with Peterborough for Washington but that move has stalled, allowing QPR time to step in. Director of football Les Ferdinand watched Washington score against Sheffield United recently and the striker has grabbed 15 goals altogether this season. Sheffield Wednesday and Derby have also shown interest but Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink's side are now leading the race. QPR are currently 15th in the Championship, 11 points away from the play-off places. They won 3-0 away to Rotherham on Saturday and host Wolves, who six places higher but only three points above them, this weekend. Peterborough, meanwhile, are sixth in League One.

This would be brilliant but also I think Phillips is on way , we need a winger with end product also !
David McIntyre @davidmcintyre76 5m5 minutes ago @reecetop10 fee's agreed and he's having a medical. Looks v likely to happen but I couldn't say for sure.
Talksport say it's 2.5m up front plus add on's He only got 5 goals in 39 apperances for Newport but Peterborough paid 500k for him so he must have more to his game than just goals. Has got 15 this season though. In danger of making a rational sensible signing here. High work rate, young improving player who sounds like he will fit the style of high pressure football the manager wants to implement. Reading were in for him. Maybe that was part of the season we rushed the Austin sale through to not miss out. If he ends up a good signing then maybe a few eating humble pie
Hearing from an agent friend Washington signed £3m and Bamford to be agreed 6 month loan don't shoot the messenger if incorrect!!!!

A good signing. A better signing would be the Peterborough scouting team, they've produced gems year after year...
Not a done deal yet if this is correct. David McIntyre @davidmcintyre76 10m10 minutes ago David McIntyre Retweeted West London Sport I think Peterborough are about to get at least one other bid for the guy.
