Didn't see the game - just saw the goal and was following bbc live updates.

Not read any of the board either so not sure what has been said etc.

From following the live texts it sounds like both teams were pants, but we were slightly less pants until it came to shooting where we had lots of shots and not very many on target.. (sounds familiar).

United got a lucky break from a corner (no surprise Fellaini was involved, told the United fans he'd cause us issues while they were all hoping he wasn't going to be playing) and scored from their only shot on target.

We had couple good chances and De Gea yet again made some good stops.

Sounds like we are creating chances just yet agan finishing letting us down which then leads to frustration and long shots form all over the place. Just need someone can rely on to put the ball in the net, Sturridge get you're ass in gear and get fit dammit!
yep that covers it
why bother with a Sky subscription when all you need need is BBC live texts <laugh>
though you could just have watched a rerun of the last couple of games between us to get a fair impression of the match

What we've got at Liverpool are a bunch of players who, when they show up and want to play, expend a lot of energy and that's about it. Other than that they're bang average. Bang average energy expenders.

They don't create enough, there's no cutting edge, nobody can finish, they're poor defensively. On good days Klopp's management can get us a nice result like the big wins we had last year but most of the time the lack of skill in, or squandering of talent by the players undermines it all. The likes of Milner, Lallana, Henderson, Firmino most of the time last game excepted obviously, Can, Lucas, Moreno, Clyne ... better stop I'm just naming the entire ****ing side here. Oh the CBs and GK. Well, we already know they're a scrapyard job lot. Get them on the flat bed for the big claw to carry as far the **** away from Anfield as possible.

Despite that we were the better side overall but that's meaningless now. They've got a class keeper. They took their big chance. We took none of ours. The result's fair enough. Klopp knows what needs to be done.

Thing is, it was Fellaini or Mata; both have good records against us.

You'd probably win a five a side league. The reality is if teams are daft enough to let you knock it about at your own pace then you'll hurt them. If you're asked to actually work hard and play this gangbang high pressing football against teams that are prepared to soak it up then you'll struggle.

I think Klopp's main issue at the minute is he's not used to such a competitive league. LVG is still coming to terms with that.

Not 100% certain about whether we 'll get through that. We have to rest players - they were shattered @ 70 mins today, for whatever reason. and they need to be rested for Stoke next week, which is now the most important game in our season. If I were Exeter I'd come and give it a good go. Ideally, we'd play a strong enough team to have it sewn up by half time, then sub the best players. But even the bestb eleven we have available couldn't do that atm.

By the way, does anyone else suspect that Jurgen may have frozen Studge out? Is h trying to prove a point?

We've lots of players for Exeter it's up to them to come and play.

Sturridge isn't knuckling down. He's whining of niggles so we will see if he ever gets through a week of training.

You had lots of players for Exeter the first time, they all suddenly developed 1 game injuries. Do you think that may happen again, because a loss to Exeter after today could put a real dent in your confidence.

Not worried to be honest. Disappointing obviously but this season will be up and down. Will be great if we can lift a cup!

We're in good hands, thats the main thing

I am liking this blind optimism, and in my post match alcohol fulled state its best to stay on that happyness curve.

Fair comment, but surely he should be doing better than Rodgers did with them?

Should be doing better with the players that Rodgers bought? Rodgers bought them and he even couldn't get the best out of them.

Next season will be the proper season to judge Klopp, he needs time.

Lots of managers buy players then better mangers go in and improve them. That is why you change managers.

I like to think many managers can get better out of the players LvG has bought <ok>
