Great to see us finally get that win, and with some decent play (in the second half). Just need to build that confidence and belief into a good run of results (though with the next three games ahead that will certainly be a challenge). Great to see Smithies and Lumley getting their chance; Luongo have a strong game and the trio of Hoillet, Phillips and Polter playing well and getting on the score sheet. Should be a happy Monday on the training ground.
We certainly rode our luck in the first half, with Rotherham using the flanks and long balls up to their very mobile front line very effectively (though clearly without scoring!). We were second to the ball all the time, and our central midfield looked constantly overwhelmed. It felt rather like a matter of when Rotherham scored rather than if I've no idea what was said in the dressing room at half time, but we were a team transformed in the 2nd half, and Rotherham looked shell shocked after 2 goals in less than 5 minutes Some great performances yesterday. Personally I'd pick out Polter - a real handful, worked incredibly hard and was clearly delighted with his goal - and Junior - was at the centre of much of our play, and did brilliantly to get a shot away for his goal when a penalty seemed the more likely outcome Others played well too (if Ned's block after the ball had come back off our post hadn't happened and Rotherham had scored first, could have been a very different story), but we really need more effective full backs. Both were turned inside out too easily yesterday. Great support at Rotherham yesterday though on a pretty cold afternoon. Let's hope that JFH racks up his second win rather more quickly than his first!
Just seen the goals - all 3 very good and from open play. Junior's was the pick of them for me, great to score like that from the deck.
Not sure if mentioned elsewhere but that was brilliant defending from Ned when Derbyshire was about to score from the rebound that hit the post.......
Was at work yesterday morning - tempted fate with the BBC feed (we are not encoouraged to use the firm's computers for non-work purposes and knew we'd won but I would like to see them highlights.
Try these Maple......999's posted them earlier on the thread http://www.skysports.com/watch/vide...tions/championship/10133022/rotherham-0-3-qpr
I noted that stat too - also Fulham, despite languishing below us, have scored the 2nd highest # goals (43), Hull (44), but have conceded 47 (joint 2nd worst with Rotherham), for a net -4 GD.
Unfortunately they don't work in rural bucks either.... Are we outside the UK.....cause sometimes it feels like it

The Sky highlights show how lucky we were not to be 3 down by half time, but we took the chances well.
