Problem with Danny Graham helping defending is that he can't.
He's a striker, so they're not too good at tracking men, marking, tacking, positioning etc.
Very strange decision to me RAW.
To be fair, he won't have been picked for his goalscoring. I'd guess Sam is thinking we're gonna be under a lot of pressure and DG is our best option for holding the ball up to give the likes of Defoe Lens and PVA time to get up the pitch from a defensive position. He's also more useful defending set pieces than Borini, Watmore etc.
Tbh, the more I think about it, the more I can understand the reason behind the pick. Hope N'Doye can hit the ground running though so we don't have to rely on DG in future

Borini hasn't exactly been on top form recently either.
