I'm very happy with this either way, he's one of the few natural goalscorers in the country.

I'm very "meh" about the signing as I don't think he is particularly good, but willing to give him a chance and hopefully he can't be as bad as Pelle

 

The bloke scored 18 goals in a QPR side that went down. I think he's clearly pretty good.

 

And is this the signing to show Ron we do indeed have ambition and he signs a contract extension ........hope so

£4m more than they would have got for him in the summer though. They could have sold in the summer like we did with Clyne. Presumably they took the gamble of hoping he'd fire them back into the PL at the first attempt, and therefore the money earned by that would more than make up for loss of transfer fee.

I like this signing, he's just what we need I think. I seem to remember that It was in a game against Saints that first caused a dislocated shoulder which has since reoccurred, and apart from that, he hasn't any other fitness issues.
Am a big fan of Charlie, as he is a bustling, hardworking player who can actually convert chances - watch the goals start flying in now (not just from him, but from our midfield too), he will give us a different set up and a different team dynamic.

 

I'm well chuffed. Might have to wake up the greyhound and go for a brisk walk now. Proper centre forward, well chuffed.

 

Don't mention Sharp....I still miss him.

 

Think this might signal the end for Davis too. Probably playing 2 up front with a different midfield setup.
