I assumed it must be ligaments...either damage or inflammation. However, he had an op.....which suggests damage....ligament adrift? Saints are not good about keeping us informed of injuries, but this may come under patient privacy rules. Shame that Jay isn't an inveterate twitterer.

If Saints got Charlie Adams as well, then the team would be on the way to being "Charlies!" I can only think of one Charlie that played for the Saints in the past ... Charlie George. Any others?

Back on topic, not surprised that there are a number of doubters considering some of the purchases in the past. The club are still waiting for last summer's transfers to really deliver (Romeu and Classie apart), in addition to the highly priced flops (Ramirez, Forren) and misfits (Osvaldo) signed since returning to the PL.

Charlie Waymen he was another good goal scorer.

Edit.....that will teach me to read all the posts before putting my 5 eggs worth in <laugh>!!

It will be interesting how he performs in a Saints shirt, (assuming the rumours are right) Not sure he is the one for us but we do need something more up front and hopefully he fits the bill. We have no idea when Jay will return and although Pelle is on his way back it does give us a better option than we have now.

And Pelle is getting on a bit. I wonder is Koeman stalling on Pelle's contract is anything to do with Austin

Understand the point, but that he doesn't tweet is a positive in my book.

I so hope we see him in training again soon. As someone said, for him as much as for Saints.

Didn't realise he is stalling on a new contract for Pelle. However going forward I could only see Pelle as being a back up in the medium term anyway.
