What does Jurgen Klopp think about derby matches then? "I love derbies, they are the salt in the soup," said the German. Always great value for a quote, is Klopp. And he has been praising the past and present managers of rivals Manchester United. "Louis van Gaal is one of most successful managers in the world. He has a special idea about football. Maybe Sir Alex Ferguson is the greatest ever - the John Lennon of football. I had really good moments with Sir Alex. It was an honour to talk with him."
germans don't really have big rivals in same city so its a derby to the rest of the world. whatever. i don't care its the big un every year for the spice in the dish... salt in the ****ing soup.. whatever.... The important thing is 1. toure is totally ****ed and on his last legs. Utd need to target his channel with martial and young down left.. LFc need to counter this 2. LFC team form last game is fit. 3. Sturrdige is toast. so LFC are getting nobody else back for this one D Origi Knee Injury 4 weeks P Coutinho Hamstring Injury 3 weeks D Lovren Hamstring Injury 3 days M Skrtel Hamstring Injury 3 weeks D Sturridge Hip/Thigh Injury no date We might see Lovern back next midweek then the others are all out for a while so January will see us play the same team in all games Seriously what would you guys do.. .play toure and know he'll get done... or play caulker knowing he's got done by sturridge easy and might be no better? If utd look at what arsenal did they will know to get wide and play it down the flanks as our full backs will be tucked in when defending so theres space there.... the look to pull clyne out and play round toure.... hopefully utd only play hoof ball at felliani and through the center where we can get 3/4 bodies really pressing and kill them.
My superhub packed up yesterday, got a techy coming out later today. He best be able to fix it or I'll be forced to go to the pub to watch the game! PS....is it on TV
I hope not. Well, obviously I want us to win, but not be instrumental in another manager getting the sack. The managerial merry-go-round is one of those aspects of the modern game that I dislike. The impatience of owners, board and fans alike makes it difficult to establish any lasting cohesion or identity at a club.
true. players have too much power and can just down tools by just playing within themselves and get anyone the sack.... anyone. owners seem to want to move the top guy rather than sell 3/4 players who've done that.
I have to say that milner was kack on the ball but worked well and gave team balance v arsenal. I don't see a reason to put lucas in for him at all. I have to say caulker in for toure would seem on the face of it (is he fit or fat, i dunno) is swapping a dead duck for one who knows little about systems of play... but could be worth a punt. I think we will see same team as last time out. If caulker is wise he'll exploit toure turning up to sit in a bath not train and get every minute he can with sahko to try and impress the bosses. caulker should realise that if lovern gets back before he gets a go he will be in same scenario as he was with southampton....
If I was Van Gaal I'd play Fellaini from the off and have him playing off either Martial or Rooney. I'd tell him to take up a position next to Toure. As you're piss poor at defending high balls and I'd have him to win more than his fair share against the lolloping Toure (or Lovren if he comes back)
Would prefer to see Allen play. He's a player who can do well once he's over injuries and plays a few games to get into his groove. Based on his last two performances, I think he has found his groove. Milner left Moreno exposed against Arsenal - other than putting himself about, he's not great positionally. Allen is far more intelligent. In terms of RCB, I really don't know. I would have thought Fellaini would be a key man therefore someone like Caulker would be good but based on Newc, their attack looked more fluid. Plus it won't be an easy game for Caulker to come into therefore Kolo's experience is possibly better. Who knows - either choice is quite horrible.
Because Herrera will exploit that hole between midfield and defence, we need one to sit and pick him up.
I'd say that without him there's no way any of the others will. Herrera love playing between the lines and is the one who can hurt us.
They have to get the ball to him. ... put the highest press on and you make that harder. Put a Deep lying player in and you invite them to attack. Press press press... run-out of steam, concede 2... lump it at benteke. That's our plan
