    3.20 Huntingdown - L'Unique -3/1

Very decent hurdler and had taken well to the bigger obstacles! Altho she hasn't won over them yet This is. Big drop down in grade than her last run in the Grade 1 Kauto Star novice chase over Xmas at Kempton and a Grade 2 at Newbury (finished infront of Ubak that day too) has run to a Similar consistent level the last couple of times just finding a couple too much above her level - altho giving weight away to most the field including the market leader this more her level and should be very effective now handicapping, yard in form And give her usual good run which should be enough to be there at the finish

2:20 Huntingdon VEAUCE DE SIVOLA 7/2

This horse is very well handicapped for a staying chase in this ground and the opposition does not look great. He shaped much more like it at Ffos Las in similar conditions last time and having a won a handicap hurdle off 16lb higher, this looks a prime opportunity to open his account over fences under the training of Mark Gillard. Tom Bellamy takes off another useful 3lb having ridden him last time and I hope he can get the job done and get the win.

Unusually for me - I'm going for a favourite treble with horses from three hot yards Pauling King and Hobbs - I'll let you work out who they are - pays 20/1

    Louis Vee 13/2 Wolverhampton 4.15

Louis Vee is in pretty good nick at the moment with 2 wins and a 2nd over a stretching 7 furlongs LTO. Today the horse drops back to a more suitable 6 furlongs. He put In a really game effort at Chelmsford against a very good front running ride on Mercury, today see 's Louis run off the same mark of 57 and again with claimer Ciaran McKee (5) on board. Widely open lookimg heat, will need a split or break to go for us but I reckon Louis is on a real upward curve and that he can land the spoils today.

Anyone try dissect the 8.30 at Dundalk? Richard Hughes has Duchess Of Marmite over for it, she's currently 3/1 fave, looks a tough contest and that price looks skinny to me currently. Saga Bolton is the interesting one to me but I haven't been brave enough to dip my feet...yet!

    Best of luck lads.

After getting pipped at the post TWICE yesterday ( that Thurles race, the 2.40, I had Queens Wild purely for place money, what a race, but the 2.50 at Catterick was draining, Alto des Mottes, breathtaking ) I'd like to find something a little easier on the nerves. No, wrong sport, more excitement to come.

So I'm having a look at

    Bus Named Desire 2.20@Huntingdon

    Diletta Tommasa 1.30@Lingfield

That opener at Huntingdon looks quite a tasty one, several in with a chance.

    Good luck all.

    Morning all
Huntingdon has been good to me recently and to begin with I agree with toppy l'unique can't get beat today. In the opener I'm going for ballinalacken, got good course form, but argot scares me with a 10lb claimer. In the 1.50 I'm taking a chance on centreofexellence for Gary Moore. Bus named desire also gets backed , I do like to keep it in the family
    Cheers.

Now Birthplace has got in the 7.00 at Dundalk he is the one to beat in it. The 7/2 hasn't lasted too long and I managed to get 11/4 only myself. This is first outing since a maiden run in Navan back in October when beaten over 7 lengths by the potentially smart Cook Islands who is a stable mate of Birthplace.
Hopefully young Donnacha can steer him home in an ordinary maiden.

    3.00 Intense Tango 8-1

Now this horse is clearly no good thing as the outsider of five but he could win this race if tactics are got right. The horse is definitely up to this but the all weather does not suit as he takes time to get into full stride and speedier types steel a march. Unless something sets a breakneck pace which is unlikely in a five runner field they need to make the running today and ensure the horse goes for home early, if he does this could be interesting. Due to it's dislike of a short straight 4-1 is not value but 8's however is worth a punt.

Ballybolley in the next. Better than bare form and looks to be running him to get him fit. Very fair mark and chasing does look his game.

1 out of 3 to give nominal return. Consistency is key :1980_boogie_down:

Well, I've been looking at that Chester Ladies Day page a lot, certainly not getting any joy with the racing!
    Have a good weekend. :emoticon-0100-smile

Race was over for Louis before it began, missed the kick by 5 and could never get into it posted wide all the way but did plug on well to not be beaten far. Can't see the handicapper giving any reprieve for this run but a smaller field and he can definitely win again.
