Not joking here - he could do a job for them and keep them up. He'd probably bore everyone to death but hey, what price survival eh? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35319397
Amazingly enough...the favorites for the Brizzle job on sky sports last night were Nigel Pearson & David Moyes...not sure either of them will end up there but if people are seriously talking about that calibre of manager for Bristol City, then what the flippin' 'eck are we doing with Slade????
I'd be stunned if Moyes dropped below the top tier. His last job in England was as the successor to the most successful British manager ever. That's one major ****ing fall from grace from there to the Wurzels! I know Moyes failed in Spain but that shouldn't diminish what is a very impressive English football CV. Van Gaal is only doing slightly better and he had to spunk £200m odd to 'achieve' that. The thing is for Moyes and Pearson though is you get forgotten about very quickly in this sport. Alan Curbishley held out because he wasn't offered a job by a club of a high enough stature after Charlton..... See how that career decision worked out! Jumping into the wrong job can be just as destructive though as our old pal MM proved at Wigan.
Difference between our clubs is so obvious. One has an owner who lives miles away, and changed the history of the club overnight and is now disinterested showing no concern for the club, its history and fans. One has an owner who is local, and has the club and its fans at the forefront of his mind.
