That's a shame. That would have given us a real transfer window boost! Happiness is the only sanction in life; where happiness fails, existence remains mad and lamentable experiment.

I wouldn't be upset if we bought Gayle, only if we spent much more than we got for Grabban. For me he represents an improvement over grabban even if just a modest one. So if we could do that for no real net spend I couldn't really grumble. That said it is not a real step forward in quality and it is that which we require with the majority of signings to move us from perenial yoyoers to a stable PL club.

Bah!

His scored goals in the Premiership but we should be striving for bigger things. Our scouts should be scoring Europe to find the best players not some guy sitting on the bench at Palace, we're better then that. I'd take a gamble on Sebastien Haller his got good technique, quick, powerful and looks like he can finish.

More importantly though I'd rather see us sign some centre backs!

In spite of playing all 3 of their new signings, Bournemouth went down 1-3 to West Ham at home. Grabban came on to replace Afobe for the final 20 minutes and had one good touch and then was virtually invisible after that. Arter got their goal with a long range shot but they were outplayed in the second half. Shame really. :emoticon-0106-cryin Newcastle drew 3-3 at home against ManUre and Villa beat Palace 1-0 at home.

Yeah that's Grabban

He doesn't want to re-locate, if we're not careful we'll run out of time to bring in an alternative. I just hope we weren't putting all of our eggs in one basket and have no other realistic targets.

Not holding my breath though. :emoticon-0145-shake
