I wonder what odds I'd get at the bookies?????

At a complete guess, 1.5 for Palace to win, 3 for West Ham and 2 for Man U. So overall odds of 9/1 or 10/1 or so is my guess. Basically not great given the chances of all three results going our way!

WH have them (in the old fashioned format) 14/5 West Ham, 6/4 Palace and 4/5 Man U.
The treble works out 16.1/1

Ok so I wasn't too far off with my guessing for WH at 2/1 and Man U at evens. My Palace at odds on was the only one completely wrong.

How do bookies work out the treble because it's not just the combined odds?

Misspent youth coming into effect here.
You need to remember that its an accumulator, so your stake accumulates with each win:

So say you put £10 on this particular treble:

West Ham 14/5 (3.8 decimal)
Palace 6/4 (2.5 decimal)
Man U 4/5 (1.8 decimal)

First game West Ham win, so £10 x 3.8 = £38

This £38 goes on Palace: £38 x 2.5 = £95

This £95 goes on Man U: £95 x 1.8 = £171 or £161 profit with your £10 stake, so odds were 16.1/1.

Clear as mud? :emoticon-0113-sleep

Not muddy at all that's an excellent explanation! I had completely forgotten how to work out accumulators - thanks!

So BBC are going to show the Spurs and Leicester replay......F**k off! No one wanted to watch the first one! Where's the lower league sides who fought for a replay!?
