I'd take a swap of Defoe for Gomis in an instant but wouldn't want to buy Defoe at 33. Do we really need another (31 year old at that) midfielder? Or is this a sign Jonjo's definitely going in this window. Bony back? YES PLEASE!
Cant see this one happening. If it does it means that we have given up. Defoe is our one hope to stay up and giving him to you for a player not in his league would be insane with you down there with us!
If we get a striker in there is a good chance we will get ripped off , without any guarantees with another big wage to worry about . All our Premier League money share covered are wages only . Rather find a gem .
Looks like we're preparing to break our transfer record (12.5) for Championship striker Andre Gray , 2 seasons out of the Conference. There you have the difference between picking up Bony , for a bit less , in the summer transfer window preparing for the start of a season ...for good value , and picking up Gray in the winter in midst of panic .
I think the media are a bit harsh on calling bony a flop when he has scored for them. Don't they realize that man city have a number of strikers and when one has been dropped to the bench does not mean he is a flop. A flop would not even make the bench but bony has many times, So i think the term flop in bony's case is unjustified.... Ok We cant afford bony's wages but i cant see anything wrong in paying his wages for the remainder of the season on loan though, He would have to agree to come back and that's where i have my doubts. Whatever happens it's plain to see we HAVE to get someone in before the window closes........
hope you right because at the moment there are no goals in us. That person who can take half a chance, Have a look at Wilfs goal against QPR, that's what I am talking about.
