We want a reasonably long run to give our fringe players a run out, keep them match fit. So no doubt we will get Arsenal and get knocked out again.
7 Colchester United 16 Oxford United 17 Walsall 28 Shrewsbury Town Any of these away from home. Let us have a proper FA Cup away day at a venue that I suspect non of us will have been to.....YET.!!! Did the old grounds back in the day. My order of preference would be thus:- 28, 17, 7, 16. Happy days if so.
Last visit to Colchester was one of those nightmare days - we'd spent a ****ing fortune prising Phil Parkinson from them but we forgot to include his right hand man (? Williams) in the deal. Went a goal up and then proceeded to be ''ripped a new one'' by Jamie Cureton and he of the incredible miss, Chris Iwelumo - we lost 5-1 and it could easily have been 10 .............. another bloody rubbish Mansfield day. PS If it's gonna be somewhere I haven't been, Exeter or Eastleigh are gonna have to win their replays!
Will be bloody Arsenal again no doubt. I'd fancy one of the smaller teams at home, have attended all the cup matches this season and only seen one dud match (Rochdale), one more at least would be nice.
I got stuck behind a crash on the M25 on the way to that one and turned round and came back as the second half kicked off. Turned out to be a blessing.
I would generally sympathise with any poor bugger stuck on a motorway behind an accident, in this case however ............. you lucky twat
My last visit to Colchester Utd was a much happier one. The old Layer Road ground and we won 3-1 on the way to promotion to the PL via Wembley of course in 2008. Layer Road was demolished at the end of that season thankfully. What a dump it was.
