We have to get past Arriva buses first. I think it's a good draw, its nice to see premier league teams drawn against lower league side's, the bigger games will come as the tournament progresses.
Good grief is your entire board populated by infantile WUMs? And you're a moderator as well! F*** me. Half a season in the limelight and suddenly you've gone all Ricky Gervais Possibly the least intelligent post-match debate we've had this season, with the obvious exception of Liverpool.
Crikey Catch a nerve? Lighten up and have a beer. At least you're still in the competition this year!
And you did what with it that merited a win for your team? More shots, corners, more of the ball?....by us not doing 'much' with it does not automatically mean you deserved to win. So what did you do better? Apart from have 2 banks of 4?
I thought we had the better chances and looked very comfortable at 2-1, limiting you to long range shots at best. I thought we were well worth the win and i'm surprised you think the opposite because the ref gifted you the replay.
In short, you parked your bus and parked it very efficiently. You almost got away with it too. I just hope you're going to be more adventurous in the replay?
We've played on the counter attack all season and we're second because of it. Personally I prefer to watch the pace, effort and intensity that we play with rather than your style of nonchalantly passing it around the back 4 when you're 2-1 down. Each to their own I suppose.
Ohh you had the better chances...so basically you fluffed the easiest chances? Parking the bus usually restricts teams to long range shots as has been pointed out by NSIS. I still don't know what makes you think you was well worth the win.
When you're faced with an opposition area packed with the whole of their team, trying to find a way through it can sometimes be difficult!...
It's easy to bias it when describing the game. Personally I saw you play with 8 defenders and 2 attackers, whilst we played with 3 defenders and 7 attackers. I like to see a side the competes for the ball all over the pitch and looks to take risks in attack. It's no coincidence that our most exciting games come against sides who also look to attack. Sides like Bournemouth, City and Everton(at Goodison) really look to push forward, making it fun to watch. I've nothing against sides like Leicester making the best of what they've got. It's far easier to defend when you use numbers to sit back and defend the penalty area but there's no denying it would be boring if both sides did it. Southampton were similar at times last season, if you've got players like Mane and Vardy you can cause a lot of problems with just a few attackers as they can use their pace to take advantage of the space in the opposition half.
The BBC report has each club's heat mat from the opposition half: please log in to view this image Guess which is which? Leicester play effectively on the counter. It's worked very well for them, but it's incredibly tedious if the other side adopt the same tactics. We had to open up because of our sloppy start to the second half and it suited them perfectly. Hopefully we won't be as wasteful or go to sleep on any corners in our remaining two games against them.
