To quote Bournemouth fans from reddit:

"Grabban is an idiotic purchase. The fee is insane & he's a bang average striker with atrocious finishing."

"£8m is ludicrous. If the figure is true I really hope the deal is structured so it only gets to that amount if we stay up for 2 seasons or something."

In response to the rumoured fee being high... "too true, he aint that good"

"We now have Wilson, King, Murray, Kermorgant, Rantie, Afobe, Grabban, for our 4-5-1 formation. Is this Eddie transitioning into a 4-4-2?"

"grabban is so overrated. He aint a prem striker. Didnt rate him when he was with us before (one of them strikers that is always in the right place, but actually cant finish anyway. Misses boatlads of chances but still could get 15 a season in the championship) and dont rate him now. Could have spent this money better"

"Not to sure if I happy about him coming back. But I imagine is Max wants to do everything to stay in the prem and Eddie is signing Players that he knows will work with the way we play. You cant fault him at all, especially with a fine if we go down. The money from staying in the prem could keep the club alive forever. 5 years ago we didn't have £7m to our name and the fans were practially keeping the club going week 2 week. Now we can splash that on 2 players in a week, we are truly being rewarded in the finest fashion."

"we are so guilty of overpaying for players."

I'm not even selectively quoting the bad stuff!
Keep it coming, it's making me laugh. I don't know what reddit is. :emoticon-0100-smile

Ah well - I'm just pleased he's gone and not sure he'll get much game time.
Tweet from the player himself - So happy to have signed at Bmouth once again and can't wait to get going. Thanks for all the messages welcoming me back ❤️ ?????

Rob Butler has tweeted saying Naismith is far from a done deal as he's unsure about whether he wants to relocate. Well **** him then he can go and grow a pair ! Once again this transfer window is turning into a farce for us. I know, I know, there's still several days left but it doesn't fill you with confidence does it ?

It's beginning to look that way KIO, especially when AN said around Xmas that he wanted to get his transfer dealings completed early - the window closes 3 weeks tonight!!!!

Think we're looking at another window of "nil" net spend. All this talk of us offering mega £M's for players is total bollocks stirred up by agents IMO. I may be a bit premature (well my missus thinks I am ;)), but IF we don't bring any real quality in within the next three weeks I shall be bloody livid !

"Prudence with NO ambition" <doh>

To be fair, that's 3 weeks of a 4 and a bit week window, its not the nerves towards the end of the summer! There's also a propensity towards late deals in this window, anything in the next week I'd still say meets the remit of early business.

Come on KIO we just got upto £8m for that turd! This window has to be viewed now at least as a partial success. Bournemouth might survive but my god their owners stupid with his money, Afobe doesn't seem like terrible business but is a risk. Grabban and that donkey from the binners, Mings for a combined £16m is lunacy!

Bah!

Has anyone posted about the Eder rumour rearing its head again. Seems highly unlikely and normally I'd dismiss it out of hand, but this claims to be quoting a named agent, Vicenzo Morabito which is much more solid

This is true but if McNutcase and co think we can survive and still trouser all the cash they're very much mistaken, as was a certain Mr Robert Chase back in the day !

I think, they think we could stay up without significant expenditure, I do too, but not long term and it will make it harder than maybe it needs to be. I honestly believe they want to buy some decent reinforcements but they have failed thus far to find realistic targets within the constraints of our wage structure.

Bah!

If there's any true to the gossip. Eder and Haller should be top Striker targets. Either would be great. Eder, maybe the better, hard to call.

Kone rumors wont go away for CB. Not massively excited about him, but from the clubs interested and an international. Can't really sniff at it.
