Bluey - that would be a very bad business decision on Tan's part. I doubt Slade is on a high salary and his contract is up in the summer. The long term benefits could vastly outweigh the short term pain. The big big question is who at the club would be capable of selecting the right guy to replace Slade?
It's really strange because I'm in no doubt whatsoever we have to change manager. It's very important we get it right though or we could easily end up battling to stay in the division this season. As Sparks says we'll need to get this appointment right and is anyone capable of making that decision? I think the club needs a name to inspire the fans, someone with the PR skills of MM to get the fans back on side. Pearson would be top of my list, I think he'd install a bit of belief and he assembled a brilliant squad at Leicester on a decent but reasonable budget.

Bellamy really? He needs to prove his coaching ability somewhere before the Championship imo. If he'd take the job on an interim basis until the summer it might be worth a punt but it would be a MASSIVE gamble giving him the job full time. It could see us end up in L1 as easily as the PL.
If Slade is sacked I assume Trollop would be placed in charge until the end of the season. That is how I read that article. If the fall out from last Sunday's debacle does result in the sacking of Slade, then it was worth it The article about Slade in today's WM suggest, does it not, that therw won't be any transfers coming in this month and that the club has basically written off this season....not going to be relegated and they'll look at the situation afresh next pre season. If so what a waste of a season.
