Surprising if true - given the number of midfielders we have and the number of striker we don't have. That's a lot of money too... not sure we would spend that much on a player. If we were - I would spend that much on a proven goal scorer.
We need 3 experienced guys to give us a lift. My 3 would be Drogba, Ashley Cole and Glen Johnson ... massive experience and proven winners. Now is not the time to get an unknown. These 3 would keep our average attendances up, as things stand they will drop to around 27,000 until Liverpool and Chelsea roll into town.

I think the experience thread might be the best way, as for the three mentioned I'm not so sure,are we lacking some true leaders?
Johnson would be a starter for us. Let's not kid ourselves. He's having a good season.
Oumar Naisse looks a really good option to me. Senegalese (it might settle Mane down having a Senegalese mate in the squad) and he can play centre forward or out wide. Quick and strong. Likes to take players on and is a powerful shooter. Decent in the air. Hard-working when his team is in possession and without the ball. He's also unselfish. Sign him now!
