The next two games will be over this time next week. If they are contemplating the move, they will be in discussion snow with his replacement. I said on this thread that I back him as of today, don't sack him and ask me again this time next Saturday. the board may have a similar opinion.

Why don't you just explain what your problem is rather than just make snide remarks?

Sorry boss. I think it's a little distasteful - OK? My opinion.

This is how I expected us to play after losing our first team stars last season and getting all those new players in. It reminds me of our play under Adkins, always feeling that our defence would make a mistake each game.

Saying that, I'm in the keep him camp for now. I feel that we've been on top of a lot of matches this season that we have gone on to lose or draw purely because of poor finishing whilst on top. We rely almost solely on Pelle as Mane isn't producing the goals he could (possibly should) be getting and with him injured we're struggling. It's not Koeman's fault that he's not allowed to buy a striker outside the window and Seager isn't going to score 10-15 goals. I say give him January to fix our weaknesses and base a decision on how we play from now to the end of the season. (The board should probably take some responsibility for not getting another striker in as well)

I do believe though that our biggest 'new' player this January will be the return of Forster! Everything went downhill from the moment he got injured (I feel we could have even sneaked 4th last season). I'm not Forster's biggest fan but we looked a lot more solid with him and could bring the confidence our defence needs.

This season isn't going as well as we hoped and appears to be so throughout the club - some mistakes in who/what level we have loaned our youngsters out to and not doing great in the youth teams (although I know results aren't the focus winning is a good habit to get into).

I have felt uneasy for sometime about how we are progressing (or rather not) and our failure to keep youngsters coming through. As said, we are drifting from our pathway. However, I voted for keeping Ron....what can I say, I'm a faithful kind of person. o_O

I think Ron has enough brownie points from last season to see this season out.

Then, I might have a change of mind. But Ron to finish this season, at least.

20/1 with Coral. I just put on £25 (although only cost me £5, as £5 deposit got me £20 free bets).

I don't want it to happen, but those odds could fall dramatically if we lose our next two.

EDIT - Looks like my bets have already helped to change 20/1 to 14/1.

I have temporarily lost faith in him, his recent decisions have been debatable to say the least. I appreciate that he needs the tools to do the job and perhaps he could get them elsewhere. We need the Board to support him or replace him, it isn't our decision to make, we can only offer up individual opinions which probably stand for diddly squat in the long run.

Of all the out of work ex-PL managers, I think only Harry and Sherwood come in lower down on my list.

Think he's all but gone, really, with it simply being a matter of timing now. I'm not fond of his reluctance to play the kids, but the bigger issue here is that Koeman is clearly not happy about the board's direction, and from Guan's post the board is almost certainly not happy about Koeman's desire to spend and willingness to talk to the press about it, nor his use or lack thereof of the academy. That's an untenable situation, and I'd be quite surprised if he was with the club beyond this year.

However, from the perspective of the board, making a move now would come with drawbacks...namely, a finite number of good options available, where any of the better managerial possibilities will also want players brought in to fit their intended style/ambition/because they have a kickback scheme with the player's agent. And it doesn't appear that the board is terribly interested in doing so.

I really like RK, but I feel he must win on Wednesday otherwise the axe will fall?
I said at the start of the season that our signings this season were very average, and that the likes of Palace and Stoke had signed better pedigree and would finish above us, to which I got the usual being negative, from a few on the site.
Who is to blame for this?? Who knows, but as usual, when things are not going well, it's the managers that suffer by losing their jobs.
I hope we win Wednesday followed by a win on Saturday, and all this will be put to bed, but as I said last week, there is just a niggling feeling that all is not well behind the scenes? COYR
