Thank You so much to both sets of fans today for applauding my mate Josh Fell.... his family were overwhelmed when standing in the centre circle as 21,000 people applauded him, was emotional for me and his other friends and family up in the stands too... an extended thanks to the Liverpool fans for joining in and showing their support and respects.
Great result aswell!

R.I.P JOSH FELL

I agree that both sets of fans were a credit to themselves today regarding the minutes silence. R.I.P. Josh...

The minute applause to me felt like an eternity... Liverpool fans today where a credit to their club and Hull City fans as usual when it comes to stuff like this were impeccable

It shouldn't matter, but this article gets to me, that Liverpool are getting the credit, and the person who the applause was dedicated to is not mentioned.

Taking nothing away from the tragedy in Norway - but that applause belonged to Josh...

Maybe I'm making too much of it.

I think possibly you are a bit, as Liverpool fans we respect any tragedy and will pay tribute to any loss of life.

It's the least we can do as fans, comfortable in the fact we're about to watch a game of football to pay tribute to those who have died.

I am sorry to hear about your friend Dowies_Hair.

I'd hate you to think it was any comment against Liverpool or the fans there - I was just meaning the title "Liverpool pay respects..."

Respects were paid on both counts. That's what matters.

Exactly, I didn't take it the wrong way don't worry <ok>!

Was sat next to the Liverpool fans and as soon as Jordan talked about Josh and that his motto was 'City till I die' some actually cheered and most were properley clapping from that point onwards.

Big respect to them for that and their behaviour in general throughout the game, made for a great atmosphere to watch a game of football.

They said on the Liverpool TV replay of the game that the minutes applause was for the Norwegians not for Josh.

Sounds like it will be a regular thing for our first preseason game too

You, his other mates and his family have done your mate and the tiger nation proud today. It's sad to see a fellow Tiger leaving us, but unfortunately it happens. At least he saw us win at Wmebley and in the top division.

Liverpool fans were very respectful in the applause. Thank you very much.

RIP.

I was a classmate of Josh's dad, but we shouldn't go distinguishing between loss of life either in Norway or Hornsea.. all we can say is thankyou to both sets of fans and our team for doing Josh proud.

my respects to the family and friends of Josh, and this possibly not the right thread to make this point, but a guess-timate would suggest that 25% of the Liverpool 'fans' were from Hull anyway so probably knew what the real local issue was. The liverpool web administrators should recognise that your average liverpool isnt actually from liverpool.
