We are a more tempting prospect to these managers than Swansea. Location, culture etc.

    Rodgers would probably suit us

    *punches self*

Moyes would man us up a bit, but it wouldn't be pretty.

Today, I am firmly in the keep him camp. However, two big games coming up. Ask this again this time next Saturday.

IF he does go then surely Flores of Watford is worth looking at.

I would like Howe as well but I'd doubt he'd leave Bournemouth.

I believe he is pushing the board as much as he can - criticising the academy products, [Les's likes to take credit for this], openly asking for investment in players, [owner who has already given cash], publicly criticising players, denying that results are anything to do with his tactics.

At a lot of other top flight clubs, whether we like it or not, you would be gone, and don't be surprised if he does get the sack.

The facts are the team is now his, the tactics are now his, if the players keep missing loads of chances and making defensive mistake it is his job to correct these, he gets paid a lot of money to be in charge of this, if players can't stop these errors then surely after two or three games they don't play, someone else gets the chance?

I cannot believe the length of rope the man has been given, I'm not convinced by the entirety of this season, even when we were winning we looked dodgy or lucky, now the pigeons see to have come home to roost.

As for replacements, one club's s***e manager is another club's great manager, so just because someone's record is not great at a rival does not mean it's bad at your club, it's about fitting.

I believe the senior players no longer trust Koeman and I am convinced the fitness levels have dropped off alarmingly [all speculation].

We are in a relegation fight because we are frankly not a very good team, and as a club we need to face up to this.

Flores hasn't been there long. Since 5th June 2015. Think he's out of the equation considering that and their league position.

I like Howe as an option. Likes to play good football and he's a good tactician.

I voted keep him. I think there is every chance he can turn it around. Once pelle is fit, we can get mane pelle tadic linking up again and we will do enough to stay up. We have also been unlucky in a lot of games. (Though you could argue that Koeman's tactics have hindered us.)

Then I'd see what happens in the summer, which other managers are available. I'm not sure I trust Koeman to spend more of the boards money right now.

It's really impossible to judge without know which signings are his, and which were forced upon him. Safe to say we NEED to improve though.

Well you got that because you gave a relatively non-embittered post without the definitive right or wrong approach. it works both ways. I'll engage sensibly if you do.

Howe has been my choice for when Ron goes (I was thinking 18 months mind you) for a long time. I have waxed lyrical about him for some time. Sadly, I think their promotion has killed that.

Having assessed the summer recruits I would say we are weaker than last season and that is the root of this situation.

This has caused discontent amongst our best players impacting their peformances whilst others in the team are not good enough to challenge last seasons efforts

Doesn't mean we are going down but we are in decline and may struggle for mid table at this rate.

The recruitment has to be spot on; our club loves to talk it up but it has to deliver every season and this summer it didn't and here we are

    We are bang average

Excellent post. There is so much we don't know. Two defeats in the next two games would make it a bit squeaky.

I agree with most of what you say. The comment about recruitment "having to be spot on" is a pipe dream though. No club gets that right each and every time.

Yes I thought that when I wrote it but I mean for a club like ours we have to demand it because it is critical to our success. Of course it canot be 100% succesful

Unfortunately we can't sack 11 players. I still think Ron is a good manager and any new manager will likely experience the same problems. I sympathise with all views and politely abstain from voting.

    Guan 2.0 on Saintsweb:

(Someone suggested les reed wouldn't be happy at the lack of youth development)

(Information that has been passed on starts) Not just Les Reed. We are a club with multiple departments, all of which are talented in collating and reviewing information, and making recommendations based on that information. In the past, how much attention players pay to their reviews has been a good indicator to the expected level of future commitment (Lallana). At the moment, our reviews are pointing to a number of worrying factors. We are not playing to the clubs preferred formation, despite purchasing players identified as being able to do so. Our training regimes are very segregated, and our post match analysis software is pointing to mistakes being repeated time after time. The path from the youth team to the first has been apparently shut, and those parents who advised their children to choose SFC over other suitors for reasons of development and who were already angry being misled, are now furious over Koeman's public statement on the subject.

SFC is not an unfeeling corporate machine, and in times of goals aplenty and top eight places there is leeway on our methods, but given that most departments have voiced concerns over the direction and atmosphere of the first team, and those who are seemingly barred from joining it, adding to Koeman's unwillingness to commit and our horrific run of results (Information that has been passed on end)

I would not be surprised if anything less than 6 points in the next 2 games sees Ronald stay until the summer. I am waiting on confirmation, but i enquired as to whether feelers have been put out over a new manager as of yet.
