I'm not getting annoyed just purely saying I would like to of seen kids today before the game started. I can't watch game today anyway so will be relying on you lovely people on here for updares
A guess then, in other words. It is not "very much how it appears" just how you want to see it. FFS the bloke only said yesterday that Matty is good enough and the only reason he doesn't play more is because he has an England LB in front of him. Cup is ideal time to play him. Manager doesn't play kids. Fans moan. Manager selects young left back. Fans moan and say it is forced. For the record, I wanted Reed to play, but is it really pathetic or stubborn? No, it's a decision that a few of us wouldn't have made, me included. Here is a thought: he's picked a strong team as someone said above, with all but Bertrand playing who would normally play (injuries and suspensions apart). Now maybe he wants us to be tight and try and win/nick the game. I can just imagine if he'd picked 4 youngsters and we'd lost, the same fans would be moaning he didn't put out a strong side. I'll say again that I don't agree with his selection today, so don't accuse me of having a love in. Just get a grip. The moaning is becoming tedious. It is relentless. Is Ron not replying to your weekly letters or something.
With no JWP, Tadic or Bertrand it's unlikely we'll score from a set piece. If Long and/or Mane has an off day then let's hope someone scores a screamer or chips in with a rare goal... If we win today it will be purely because of the players. They are going to have to play very well to win with this lineup and system. Koeman can't take any credit at all if we win. If we win it will be in spite of him, certainly not because of him.
There is only one person being pathetic. Really. You behave like a Now Os, to do that we'd need to have a little maturity. You are right, but I can't see that happening. Ps. I'd be delighted if we sneak a negative 1-0 win off someone's arse. Give it me now please.
Wow. He really did do something bad to you didn't he? Did you have a trial or something? If we lose, will that not be the players then?
Why would I blame the players when the system is wrong. We used this system against Palace recently and it failed miserably. We reverted to a back four after 67 mins. If they aren't given the best chance to succeed by the manager then why the **** would I blame them if they struggle? Long is going to get far less service with this system. As is Mane. We don't have a proper set piece taker on the park. We struggle to score at the best of times, yet we're playing this system without a set piece taker (Davis isn't a proper one. Bertrand not in squad, JWP and Tadic on bench). So I certainly won't blame the players if they struggle today going forward. They ought to be tight defensively with this extremely negative system.
You're more than welcome to be happy with a manager that has 1 win in 9 games. A manager that lose to Palace recently starting with the same system and hasn't learned his lesson. I certainly don't throw my toys out the pram like you and say/imply to stop posting. Negative manager, doesn't blood youth, 1 win in 9 games. Why wouldn't I be annoyed?
I get the feeling that this might be the last straw for some people, and a few clicks of the ignore button have been pressed.
As usual you're incapable of coming up with a defence for Koeman or talking football. You just stoop to insults and posting stupid stuff when you aren't happy with someone's posts. I'm talking football here. I give the reasons I'm unhappy with Koeman. The responses on here are a joke. No substance to them at all.
As for the actual game, I'm really pleased to see Ron go with a strong team. If we lose today, our season is over (or at least I hope it would be over, because if it remains alive, then it's for all the wrong reasons!). And although I personally wouldn't have gone with 5-3-2 at home, I can understand Ron's logic behind it given our poor form and Palace's threat away. I'd have been very much against playing a load of kids today.
I don't understand why people have to be so negative, before a ball has been kicked. Is being able to say "I told you so", really that important to some of you? If ever I wanted a result that matched the Arsenal 4-0, this is it.
TinTin, I gave up trying to discuss football with you. You just moan. If anyone (not just me) counters what you say, or even better points out your various contradictions, you either ignore them completely or disappear for a day or two, presumably hoping that we'll forget them. You'll also fin that I only behave like this with you. I have disagreements with people on here, no problem. Most are prepared to debate rather than rant. No-one is "happy" as we are in a poor run of results, but you constantly throw mud at Koeman regardless of the topic. You don't let up. you are so blinkered in your dislike of him that you will not see anything other than he is wrong and bad. You just rant and rave. The only apology I make is to those who probably don't want to read me having a pop at you, but I just get annoyed by your constant attacks and bloody minded attitude towards him. If he donated a million quid to your favourite charity, you'd find something wrong with that. You continually accuse people of loving Koeman, but I don't read people posting their love for him, just often defending him against your onslaught. It is more a case of you being the one with the un-natural dislike of him.
Not sure if the post above by St Brendy & then followed up by Chilco is a thinly veiled threat at Tin Tin , Unreserved apologies IF it is , if it isn't , how precious does this make some of us look ? EVERYONE is entitled to his or her opinion on this site as far as I am concerned .
Here's a thought. We've only won once in nine games, as you point out, so he's trying something alternative to the norm. Here's another thing, perhaps he's trying to make us more solid as a base to build from. Here's another thing, perhaps they might just have been training in this formation and found it comfortable all week. What happens if it works a treat? We nullify all of Palace's threat and come away with a comfortable win, with Clasie pinging balls into the channels for Long and Mane to run on to? According to your logic, Koeman will deserve no credit for that. Sorry, but that's just plain idiotic. It might not work though. The majority of us are saying that it's not the formation we'd have run with. But should we not wait and see how it pans out before throwing words like "pathetic" around?
