Shearer bigging up Kent.. Thought he was meh. Not done much, cut in and lost it a few times.

Come on mate. It's a legit competition. If they win its because they deserve to, for many reasons. Mainly that we've mismanaged the players and clearly not been prepared to make Jan transfers until now
Not claiming they wouldn't have deserved it, but a great win?

Agree that Benteke needs to do more. He's not been awful as we've been struggling to really pass into the box, but he has to run. You can't play at this level without running. He's basically Balotelli but Balotelli had worse service.

Before the goal, I was going to come on here and praise the lads. The youngsters are playing forward thinking passes and trying to get in good positions. You can see some of them are familiar with each other. However I would hope our academy is producing players slightly better than 4th league standard so I expect to see ourselves at least salvage a draw.

I asked just before we scored... But if Exeter are to win are they and the BBC going to massively over celebrate and hype it?

Seriously can they claim to have achieved a great win when they have essentially played an u21s side, with a out of form Striker, a makeshift CB who hasn't played for a year and a truly awful GK?

Can you imagine the conversation.
Exeter: 'Hurray we won'
Neutral: 'you beat Liverpool?'
Exeter: 'Yep..... well their u21 side'

For a lower league team to win against a team with CL ambitions managed by Klopp, even if it's a youth/reserve side mainly is surely something for them to celebrate? Given the differences in resources (coaching level, training facilities, scouting networks, finances etc...) it would be an achievement the fans could be proud of.

Obviously if they beat your first team it would be even more of an achievement but I doubt many Exeter fans are going to be bothered what team they manage to beat, should they manage to see this game out. Even if they get a draw it'd mean a lot financially for them and so likely be celebrated...

I agree it should go down in their history for sure.

It was quite funny when Shearer said that it's an inexperienced side and that's why we're losing.

Take a look at the senior members first mate. Clown.

Tex has that ability Cout does when it's tight able to hold off players by getting his body in the way of the ball.

Shearer doubtless thinks that's a pen too. Mind you, that's how he got half his goals at Newcastle.
