http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35255384 So much for the old "a little of what you like does no harm"! "The UK's chief medical officers say new research shows any amount of alcohol can increase the risk of cancer" Will you bunch of pissypants change your ways? I just wish the feckers would make up their minds, next they will be telling us we can't eat bacon.....
Apparently a moderate amount of alcohol used to be ok, because it reduced the chance of hearts attacks - but now we're all reducing our cholesterol (bacon) intake we are having less heart attacks, so the alcohol is no longer a cure for that. Of course, if we stop getting cancer, then we'll probably get dementia or some other ****, at which point we'll be told to stop doing something else.
Ever tried the optic challenge? A bit of all the spirits, tomato juice and a raw egg. Sorts the wheat from the chaff.
My leaving do at a pub I used to work at. I followed it up with a barely-coherent speech which essentially called all my former colleagues and customers ****ers. Three months later, I was behind the bar again.
