Is markovic actually that good or is he another that's not here so is like Ings being made out to be a world beater.
Ahh, at the moment I think good or not is a bit of a mute point(we need all we can get at the moment ) but he's a young player we paid quite a bit for who Rodgers bought in expecting/hoping to "suarez" the league, which he didn't of course then Rodgers went off him In a big way maybe due to pressure on br to kick on from 2nd place and the team not doing well or maybe because he was a committee recommendation and br was being defiant who knows? He's still young enough for klopp to develop so I don't see why we'd get rid without klopp having a chance to work with him. He could be **** but how will we know if we sell him for 7m, just think it won't happen but what do I know ha
The lad was 19/20 when he joined. It was always going to be difficult for him to settle in straight away, especially in such a toxic environment at anfield. And it wasn't helped by having a manager who simply didn't fancy him. I hope he does come back because the lad is very talented - performing well in Portugal and EL at 18. You can question the quality of competition but perform as he did at such an early age in any league is still impressive. Along with Ilori, I hope Klopp gives him a chance to develop.
If he does leave for 7m not sure you can blame the board for that. It would deffo be klopps decision to be getting rid of to bring his own men in. Would be surprised if klopp let him go for 7m though. ..
I felt he showed a bit of mettle when he played wing back, a bit of fight in him but whatever happened in preseason etc he I think decided to say **** this i'm off and it could have been rogers saying you aint getting a game in that unique style of his.. "you're wonderful, a wonderful person, but you are **** you know that.. technician..." I remember tobes wumming us with a pic of him before and after. he'd a right puss on him in the profile pic for this season. Anyway... whatever it is if he's not committed then he's better off ****ing off. The thing is at 20mil we grossly over paid. thats not his fault, but is has created some expectation he'd play immediately etc. (but its not others fault either who get it in the neck)
I would wonder about the story. You have to remember that the euro sterling exchange rate is in the toilet compared to when we bought him and god knows what the turks are like. we paid 20mil stelring which is now / 0.7 = nearly 29million euro. today that 7mil is 10 mil euros. whuch is suspiciously like a round number thats made up.
I'm pretty sure it's all Rodgers. He promoted Ibe to the first team in his place so happily shipped him off. Ilori was the same - Ilori even said how he wanted to stay and fight and had no intention of leaving. Week later, shipped off. This kid played in Serbia - it's a rough and tough league and got through it.
Götze is certainly injured enough for LFC. Unlikely to come back before February. But seriously: could well happen in the summer (Raphael Honigstein) Klopp is monitoring the situation of Götze. He has 18-months left to run on his contract. (Paul Joyce) #LFC Bayern's price-tag for Götze is thought to be in the region of £37m. Klopp will retain a firm interest in developments. (Paul Joyce) #LFC Two reputable journos now reporting it ...
Joyce - #LFC will back #Klopp in the transfer market this summer but no approach has been made to the German giants in this transfer window.
its a lot lower level though.... what we do know is 1. someone at anfield bought him. he was bought right after suarez left so it is reasonable to assume he was bought with suarez funds. 2. Rodgers played him right wing, left wing bac kand right wing back. 3. rodgers brought ibe back off loan and played him as well... 4. rodgers decided to bin markovic and send him on loan after not putitng in europa squad. LFc have a really weak eurpoa squad as we had not enough HG qualified players What we don't know is if markovic wanted out or not. Was there a concerted decision to say these guys are no good to us cos they can't play in europe and we don't have the squad places for them? I don't know... but it seems like a real lack of joined up thinking.
= of course klopp would love a world class player but the story is completely made up like all bild stories. bild is the metro equivalent in germany.
