HT 1-0. Valencia are obviously been the better side but I'm not disappointed with out performance. Konchesky's looked very good as have the 3 midfielders. Bamba's not made clean contact with the ball yet though and Schlupp and Vassell have been a bit anonymous. We've worked hard and created a couple of openings, despite Valencia's good play they haven't completely overrun us and it's only 1-0. To sum up we are playing good football on the whole but we need that cutting edge. A bit of quality from the new striker is essential.
Andy King seems to have gained an extra yard of pace aswell. Every time he touches the ball he gets fouled
Yeh I thought that, he looks very dangerous when he's got space to run into. With Danns an option in midfield too I'm very pleased with that area.
Matt Mills and Paul Konchesky was both very impressive. Kasper Schmeichel made a few good saves aswell and was very vocal and commanded his area well. Over all we played really well considering who we was playing, we need a striker with the killer instinct which we will hopefully have before the Real Madrid game
thanks--it was a good link with great quiality and stringer & bruno doing the commentary i thoght we were quite good after the first 20 mins and if big steve had scored his chance near the end they couldnt complain having said all that valencia are playing champs league this season and were better than anything we will face in the championship so a really good workout and it shows that all we lack is a goalscorer someone tell maynard he could have scored against valencia this week instead of cheltenham town
Considering there was no David Nugent or Neil Danns I think our team is coming on very nicely considering that performance
