Why do we bother reading what is going on with transfers ,they say he is coming now hes not, we have offered kwj a new contract and he says they have not, the dutch player is in Cardiff for a medical and to talk terms again not true. What the hell is going on and why do we read such dribble, one day they will print something that is true, but I wont hold my breath.
To be fair, any talk of transfers these days is pure speculation. WOL are no different to any other newspaper/press organisation/forum/gossip column etc. I, for one, enjoy the speculation, but certainly give it no more creedence than I would Sky sports/BBC/The Guardian/not606 etc. I read it but don't take any of it as fact 'till I see the player posing with the Shirt.
Like all journos, when there's no news they have to make some up. Hopefully the club are keeping potential deals under wraps to avoid gazumpers - in fairness that was the norm in the Malky era.
Spot on whiffletree. Bit of a laugh reading about it but as you say until they're on the official website holding the shirt and professing great things for the club, its all just a load of waffle. I remember reading the James Vaughan "City's first signing of the year" baloney on Annis Abrahams message board...........
speculation all speculation, which is a pity really......you`d expect news 2be news rather than rumour hey <that's our media for yah, full of fking shi.te>
How they diddlin' aber.......disafree with you on this fella. We all know the press don't always tell the truth. The trick is to read it and then make your own decision as to whether you believe or agree with it. Can't see the point of not reading the press....thats' akin to burying your head in the sand.
nee probs whiffle dude, we are made 2 disagree and agree dude that's fact and its healthy 2discuss opinions on such matters otherwise it would be boring and sheep like......................in relation 2 burying my head in not reading the press.......I got my reasons and morals has 2 why I don't trust in anything any of them has 2say................I get my news from various sources which happens not2be british mainstream tabloids anymore......it cuts out the advertising that pollutes the mind which most tabloids are there 2 do rather than give any actual "news"
last one .....and no its not the one about the Hillsborough lies that took place, that left families without the truth for twenty odd years.....this is 2 do with another small incident that took place over the last ten years or so. tiz strange but true....
im not against people trusting and making theyre own judgements on thy press dude, but its not for me anymore tbh......being aware of the lies in the press I find it hard 2 get past the smoke and mirrors for just a few snippets of good honest and interesting journalism if im honest ......anyway hope I haven't caused offence in my defence whiffle if I did it wasn't personal dude.
To read the press is to be misinformed, to not read the press is to be uninformed. Dont know who quoted this first but Jimmy Carr said it in an interview a couple of years ago.
