Thought I saw somewhere that a Pompey player won it, but good to hear Jason is doing well.

 

I don't think the winner is announced until Friday although I wouldn't be surprised to see Gareth Evans win it.

Definitely saw it announced on the Sky ribbon yesterday, because I watched it round again to check, but possibly that was in error.

That could well have been the PFA Fans' Player of the Month? It's sponsored by Sky Sports and is basically just a public vote so that might explain Evans winning.

The article I linked mentions that the winner isn't announced until Friday.

 

He wasn't impressed...

RONALD Koeman has revealed that he has not selected many of Saints’ academy players because they are simply not close to the required Premier League standard.

Koeman went to see Saints’ Under-21s beat Chelsea 1-0 as they began their defence of the Premier League Under-21 Cup on Wednesday.

However, he wasn’t impressed by what he saw from the club’s youngsters.
