I fancy a double for Venetia at Huntingdon tomorrow:-

    1.40 - GRAND TURINA (11/8)
    2.40 - TARA FLOW (5/4)

Grand Turina beat one of Oliver Sherwood's, that he thinks highly of, Surtee Du Berlias, on debut at Wetherby, last February, before being bought by current connections, and Surtee Du Berlais then beat Tara Flow at Uttoxeter in November before Venetia's inmate landed a quick double (including a very easy success last week at Leicester on handicap debut).

I like that and will have a dabble. If it comes in maybe I will have enough to pay Mr Gayles fine!!!! $5500 fine for daring to ask a woman out! Jesus wept

In the Tara Flow race I really like the form of Iftiraaq, who ran a fair race last time behind Alyson Monterg (who ran so well at Cheltenham on New Years) and I think he has a fair mark to start off on. He looks much more appealing at 14/1 rather than the short price on the jolly in a 17 runner field. I think the race is much more competitive than the market suggests.

    Morning, pilgrims.

Here's a question for you types wagering in the 2.40 at Huntingdon. I note that it's a 'Qualifier for the Challenger 2 mile Hurdle Series Final' - no me neither. Does that mean the heat is going to resemble a 'Pertemps Qualifier' where half the field are running merely to qualify for the Final and amongst the other half of the field running there are usually more plots than in an Agatha Christie novel?!? Something to ponder upon, perhaps.

Fair bit of money for Mr Henderson's Altior in the 'Supreme Novices' this morn (currently 'blue' with 9 bookie chappies on Oddschecker). The ante-post man from 'The Weekender' has put him up as a maximum each-way bet in today's edition.

leave it alone mr chuckles, thats what i say !-- the preceding novice chase is interesting , with fletchers Flyer worthy fav on known form, the skelton horse out to redeem his reputation, thiough stable form has to be a slight concern, and the most interesting runner Drumacoo- Pauling says he 'likes it a lot'--thats a euphemism if ever ,he was withdrawn from an easier race at lingfield before xmas, and is now pitched in against very good opposition--the form of his hurdles wins seem to have worked out ,with him having beaten soe well regarded irish horses.........i shall watch with interest,

Things have slightly changed since I put this up last night. One of the favs is now a nr and in another race we have jtfav's. Still think it will be a favs day with TARA FLOW being my best. Away from Huntigdon I fancy a couple at Chelmsford:
    12.30 JAZRI
13.30 KRYSTALLITE who beat Ageuroo who has since won twice.
    14.00 EXCEEDING POWER
    15.00 BEGGARS LUCK

    Good luck all

Blimey that Hobbs horse has appreciated the drop in grade!

I like LIGHT FROM MARS 6.40 Kempton 10/1 tonight. Dropped to a handy mark and many positives, trip, track and jockey booking all in his favour. Must go close!
