Not possible at the mo but would like to see Ben & Origi just so there is someone to stretch / run at the opposition defence not bothered if it as a 2 or Origi plays wide as 1 of 3 behind Ben.

the point is if we played a front 3 of frimino at false 9 and the other two with him wide nominally is whats being asked for on here... or anything bar benteke...

any my point is fine play it but unless those 3 and the midfield with them play a hell of a lot metter it won't matter who's at no 9 or a false no 9.

don't be shocked if firmino get no joy is my point if the 5 players in midfield/attack don't work hard enough to get control of the game.

I just don't think we have any strikers that are good enough, bar Sturridge, and we might as well not have him for the amount of time he actually spends on the pitch.

I already think Firmino is unlikely to thrive in the lone striker role on a regular basis because he doesn't have the physical attributes for the role.

I'd like to see them as a two with Coutinho behind. But then, I'm a bit obsessed with the 442 diamond formation too <laugh>

I don't think klopp will play it I think he tried for about 30mins and game became very open


I honestly think the type of player was more impressive thing about SAS not the formation.

We could easily have called it a 4312 formation

It was all fast fast fast, get in behind and go for the jugular
 
Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Toure, Lovren, Moreno, Lucas, Can, Allen, Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino.

Subs: Bogdan, Milner, Benteke, Brannagan, Ibe, Smith, Randall.

the team is not shocking. Klopp has put in senior guys who've not kicked a ball in the past games.

All in all... no excuses here.. I want to see this amazing movement, agression and passing now benteke is out and the front 3 are in.

however bojan etc v toure and lovern.... oh oh.

The welsh xavi and Pukas better cover off all spaces


I would hope for a really tactical performance to deny stoke 0-0

If we don't get at least 2 goals from the front 3 they can shut the **** up and accept they deserve to be Benteke's Bitches
 
Honestly its probably a fair enough line up given the games played in past two weeks.

Allen and toure come in and should be able to run about.. well allen should <laugh>

Honestly I can see why he's left the two full backs there in the context of protecting sahko from injury (this red zone new term) to go with how slow the two CBs will be.

I could see a 3 man midfield to try and cut out the spaces that the stoke front 4 will need.

(why not do it v west ham though)

I then see the front three told to press and close

I want to see them prove the point now guys... its there for you guys to tell me i was wrong and its all about benteke. (which ignores the formation potentially)

I'd like to assess whats the formation too. where will allen play.. i assume he will got LCM.

in fairness to our fellow reds whom i respect fully despite winding them up... 2 goals would seem to be a bit unfair an ask. If they play well and make us look good fair enough.

this is stokes first team.

Why? If we only get 1 goal then Benteke can already do that, and without any service either.

I just want us to look a bit sharper up front. If we manage to stretch the Stoke defence a bit and create a few chances we'll have done well.

I do fancy Firmino to net a goal or two tonight, based on the fact that Stoke will come out a little more than Sunderland, Watford & West Ham.
