Yep. Don't think it'd hurt to remind them that we have a good academy, and we're not afraid to use it.
We seem to play much better with 2 up top, would like to see Long and Seager get a game together. Seager can learn a lot from Long, like chasing down a lost cause and harassing the defence. Long can learn from Seagar like how to beat a keeper 1 on 1 and how to stay onside
Give youth a chance.. Please!! Just see what they can do!? Even if we lose and it backfires, why not give them a chance!! I would like to see: Stek Martina Fonte VVD Bertrand Romeu Clasie Mane Reed tadic Seager Gives the youngsters a chance in a first team. Gives the back 7 a chance to play together. (I would play Cedric if fit enough. Need our back 7 to gel)
Don't seem to be able to locate a site to find out the Official Allocations for the Palace match, nothing on the official sites.
Taken me a few days to lift myself from my apathy after Saturday's game. So cheesed off that I may not go to the FA Cup match despite having a ticket.
I'm calling for Reed to start, and for the team to play in a 4-4-2 formation. We're too predictable playing with one up top. Most of our attacks follow the pattern of us passing the ball uselessly in our half or in the center of the field, and when the opponent presses us a bit, Fonte hoofs it to the striker and that's it. We can only create something down the left side where Tadić and Bertrand have a very good partnership. I think we can safely say that Bertrand, along with Van Dijk, is our most consistent player this season. On the right side Martina impressed in the last couple of matches and deserves to start. On the right wing it's either Davis of JWP. Both have their qualities, I'm content with either solution. As for the two in the central midfield, as I said, I want Reed to be given a chance to prove himself. So it can be Reed - Romeu, or Reed - Clasie, it doesn't matter. This season has showed we're incapable of creating anything through the middle, so we don't need creativity there. Therefore I call for directness, and not delicate interplay. Like Liecester play. Mane and Long up front, and give them balls to chase.
Thing is do we usually win when you go? We need all the help we can get and you not going could be the difference between us winning or losing. No pressure
Got my ticket. I wouldn't use the phrase stoked, need another word. Not quite stoked but not apathetic, somewhere in between.
My two games this season are Everton and Leicester.....I suspect it is obvious why I am not dying to attend.
3pm, Saturday 9 January Southampton v Crystal Palace Referee:- Lee Mason Assistant Referees:- Peter Kirkup & Derek Eaton Fourth Official:- James Linington
My last two games have been Arsenal and Villa, the only times we've picked up points recently... I have a ticket for this as well.....
His son plays against my son. When he isn't doing Premier league games, he usually is the parent linesman for the their games and has refereed a couple of friendlies we've played against them. You'll be please to know that in one friendly he got the length of the kids games wrong and we scored in the last minute and he had played 45 minutes instead of 40
