So are CP and AC but if they continue to give Fraeye oversight and allow him to dictate transfers I doubt that any of the three would return.

I would wish you all a happy Christmas but I doubt that boxing day is going to be much fun

Depends what you're doing on Boxing Day. Charlton will be a far thought for me personally <ok>

He wants to add another relegation to his CV.

In truth, he started off really well for us - but I thought his form dipped towards the end. I think it's more telling that we are going to do things on the cheap again.

Reza being linked with St Truiden. I think this does show where the focus is shifting and he continues to asset strip.

He's no world beater, but he's easily been in the top 5 when he's played.

So .... the Harriotts, Bergditch and Moussa available in January.... shame is that two of those would be useful in L1 next season.

He certainly fits the Belgian arseholes profile, in so far as he appears to have played twice for Boro in the last 20 months and is returning from a career threatening injury. If he was remotely decent, or fit, why would another Championship side be loaning him to us ? No doubt Boro are picking upthe majority of his wages too.

It looks like the Belgian arseholes are trying to leg us over, again.

Fits the pattern of cheap high-risk signings.

If it happens, suggests to me they are not spending in January to keep us up.
    Laughable signing if true.

It is on SSN so presume it is happening. Charlton has become the football equivalent of MASH. We will probably ship out Gudmundsson, Watt and Lookman and bring in players like Johnson and Williams.

I would settle for that so long as it happens by, say, Easter. We can only get relegated once this year. We can rebuild with real Charlton management and a real Charlton team from League One. Or even from League Two if necessary. Other clubs have done it with much smaller catchment areas than us.

Charlton are expected to complete the loan signing of Middlesbrough's utility player, Rhys Williams, when the winter transfer window opens at midnight on Friday.
The 27-year-old was captain at Boro before he sustained his long term Achilles injury. Both Harry Lennon and Naby Sarr are relatively inexperienced, and with the pair both being left-footed, Karel Fraeye may be tempted to put Williams straight into the starting line-up on Saturday.
The head coach will again be without Alou Diarra, and Jordan Cousins may be given more time to recuperate from illness. Ademola Lookman's hamstring may sideline him, and the game may come a little too soon for Patrick Bauer to return.
El-Hadji Ba picked up his fifth booking of the season in the Wolves match, but the amnesty in the Football League kicked in on 30 November, so he will be available for this encounter.
It is possible that Johann Berg Gudmundsson may be fit enough to return and boost Fraeye's attacking midfield options.
Nottingham Forest notched up their only two away wins within a few days of each other in mid-September.
Since then, the Trentsiders have gone eight games on the road without a win. They have drawn five of their other ten games though, but have scored just eight goals on their travels.
The Addicks could put this side out:
Henderson; Solly, Williams, Sarr, Fox; Ba, Jackson; Gudmundsson, Vaz Te, Ghoochannejhad; Makienok.
Subs: Pope, Holmes-Dennis, Lennon, Moussa, Ceballos, Charles-Cook, Ahearne-Grant.
Trevor Kettle from Rutland will be the referee.
Charlton desperately need to string a few results together, but this will be another tough game for them. It may, however, be one of their better opportunities to claim three points.

Johnson and Poyet are arriving next week. We are also in the market for Kermorgant on loan but two other clubs are interested.

I wonder if Kermit still owns that big house in Greenwich?

Is there a source for Poyet?

And I assume you don't mean Gus...

Apparently he does. I have been told that a deal was agreed in November to bring Kermy in but Bournemouth pulled the plug. They have now moved the goalposts and are asking for a bigger loan fee.
