Just watched West Ham United vs Liverpool - and if I hadn't been any the wiser - I could have been watching a repeat of QPR in an all white kit vs Crystal Palace last season. Such was the parallel in playing style and overall appeal. A poor fare when expectations are higher.
Similar to our season, Liverpool have changed their manager, have a proven coach and perceivably good players. As the talking heads opined - the manager needs to be judged on his own players, when he can build his own team - and not on his stewardship of the players he inherited.
I think as supporters we can be as equally judgemental on JFH and (if Twitter sources are anything to go by) Sir Les. It made me think wider and consider how many supporters would claim to be truly happy. Here's my conclusion based on the EPL and SBC:
