Jesus guys, I thought the overall performance was fairly poor too, but it was errors that cost us, not being battered into submission by a superior team. We had several moments were we looked like a team.
2 shots on target to West Hams 10

Yeah lad you smashed them, it was pure fluke that they beat you.

You're hurtin' aren't you love?

Saw this on Twitter and to me this is the point we're all trying to make:

@RedRegista 9 minutes ago
Mahrez, Ighalo, Vardy= £1.4 million, 42 goals this season.
Benteke, Firmino, Lallana= £86.5 million, 8 goals this season.

That's atrocious.
This shows how poor our recruitment has been. Even on equal costs, our three look inferior to the other 3. At these prices they are extremely poor buys.

Which holiday are you referring to petal.

You only joined this forum last month, according to your profile. So when are we talking?
I don't mind, just tell me about your last holiday, your football opinions are worthless, so just thought it would give us something to discuss?

Why do you keep trying to talk about football with me? I am not biting mate. What did you get for Christmas?

Off topic that lad.

The mods on here are extremely strict (watch out for that Gerrez one, he's a right ****) you get an instant ban for taking threads off topic <ok>

Some of our players lack the ability.

Others lack the right attitude.

Klopp will have figured out who is definitely going to be part of his team, who definitely won't be and others he'll still be on the fence about.

This obviously isn't his team. He has brought in zero players.

Perhaps he should be getting more out of the players. Perhaps they should be getting more out of themselves. He's only one guy and a normal one at that. He can't use super-powers to make players better, fitter, more hungry or better at making decisions.

It will be interesting to see out of the current squad who makes the cut in the summer.

For now his task is to keep the whole squad interested. To not let the better players' heads drop at the dross they have to take to the pitch with every week and to keep the lesser, **** players motivated. But partly that's down to their own self-talk so again he can only encourage them, not force them.

The whole post is true, but the most depressing aspect is the bit I highlighted. I don't expect miracles like top four with this team, and hell, I even expected watford and West Ham to beat us, but I do expect any manager, not just Klopp, to have reacted better in both games than he did to the events.

We were good against Leicester (or they were poor, by their standards), and anyone can be better than Sunderland (though we did make hard work out of that too). But otherwise, since the City and Soton games I've seen nothing tactics-wise from Klopp to inspire confidence. Not turning against they guy - glad we got him, Rogers had to go, etc - but I fear the enormity of what's in front of him might just be dawning on him. Just praying it doesn't overwhelm him, as he's doesn't look like he's going to outthink oppositions in this league.

Glowing report there..... How many millions worth???

Klopp tells it like it is again.

First goal may have been a fall but the whistle didn't come so we needed to defend. The players waited for the whistle.

Second goal had five defenders on their right sided player who still got the cross in. "That's not pressing, i don't know what that is, it's not pressing, it's nothing"
Telling as it is may well be an improvement on the cringing bullshit served up by Rodgers. That's a plus but it is time for him to improve things on the field of play. No doubt that Bilic had one over him today. Benteke and Firmino are such temperamental players. You never know what you'll get from them, especially the Brazilian.

He wants lots of running and pressing but what happens if the other team does the same??

What's that got to do with it? are you Allardyce trolling here? the price of what Klopp has inherited is completely irrelevant. More confused today with his reaction to the game, and Benteke in particular, as to what the squad cost.

This ^ is the salient point.

High tempo, high pressing, high paced football is nothing new in the PL, most sides play in that manner to a lesser or greater extent.

So sides are used to not only meeting that challenge head on, but also how to counter it.

quite-you said that at times todays performance was better than any under Rodgers
which is clearly total and utter bollocks.
as for the highlighted bit surely the least you should expect is for the team to look like a team FFS
